Does this apply to ROLL BARS as well as CAGES, oh master of choice words, that is far superior to my small dense blue collar mind.

Either way....two things come out of this.
1 I'm glad someone took the initiative to contact someone in the know.

2 I still think you are a pompus azz for trying to sound more intelligent than us common folk. We all get it that you are a lawyer, and are a master of trickery and decieving the average person out of what is right. Take a step back and ask yourself what the average American thinks of lawyers. Why is that?

Hahaha, maybe you and ninesecondnothin' can form a posse to beat me up at high noon in the pits!

Is Hank Blankenship related to Kenny Blankenship?

Jamie

You have been picking pointless - unwinnable fights on the internet since the end of FFW last year - An embarrasing thread on FFW forums full of acusations and childishness etc and now going on and on about interpretations of roll bar rules.

I understand you are upset about the truck thing from FFW - I dont blame you, Ford pulled a fast one and FFW let it happen with no decent explanation. BUT its over - Let it go - The stress will kill you - Move on ....
Doug, this has nothing to do with roll bars and is nothing more than a chance for you to take your shot at Jamie. At least Jamie and Sal's debate had something to do with something. You guys let alot more crap roll on here that shouldn't even make it past the 3rd post!!!

Don't tell me that anyone here wouldn't have been pissed if they got ****ed like Jamie did. But back on topic.

The rules are obviously not clear, and not black and white enough for the average person reading them. If you have to call an organization to have them explain the rule, than the rulebook is not clear enough........plain and simple. The average nub building a car like my old man is doing now..........could read that book and do exactly as Jamie is saying because it could easily be interpeted that way.

Either way, the average person would put at least a 6 point cage in as shown in the diagram............like the one that Jamie has in his truck.....

Either way, the problem is resolved. I am more interested in how much stink just came from such a little fart i dropped then reading anymore roll bar/ roll cage debates.

Peace!

Sorry. You are correct. I meant to say "roll bars."

But your personal attack is uncalled for. I did nothing to provoke it.

How would you prefer me to sound? Should I write differently than I think and speak? Are you asking me to artificially dumb it down? Should I intentionally misspell words and use bad grammar? Isn't that "smart's not cool" attitude responsible for the decline of the American educational system?

There is nothing wrong with "blue collar minds" or "common folk." I was painting contractor for 10 years, and a dishwasher, busboy, and waiter before that. I did a two-year stint delivering propane tanks before law school. Some of the most intelligent people that I have ever met were auto mechanics, carpenters, machinists, etc. If you feel threatened by me in some way, that's your own issue, not mine.

BTW, I wouldn't need a posse.

That is an outright lie.

By the time that I pointed out that the word "rear" was missing from the 2005 rulebook passage that you quoted, the thread was about 20 pages long. In fact, that was one of the last posts before it got closed.

The reason the average person thinks that is because of people like you who perpetuate this crap about lawyers all being ambulance-chasing personal injury lawyers. I, like Tim, am a lawyer, and don't like to hear this kind of nonsense. No more than the hard-working auto mechanic who hears that all repair shops are rip-offs who swindle people in a broken down car. Think a little before you say stuff like this, ok?

It was all about me trying to keep Jamie from bringing the pointless argue with anyone over anything issues here.

And what do I get for my efforts - Some unconstructive criticisim from you when Im trying to do exactly what you say isnt done enough...

Doug

My Fullest apologies for grouping you. I was heated about the subject. I also apologize to Tim. No Tim, you certainly shouldn't "dumb down" when talking to people. However you often come off as condecending to others and you did your share of name calling in that last post. It bothers me to see people like Jamie being slammed, cause like I said, he really is a great person, and an asset to our community. I think it can be agreed apon that maybe the rules aren't very clear as mecca suggested, and the "normal" cage is the only real safe way to go.

PEACE TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!!!

And no, you probably wouldn't need a posse!

Cool. I didn't remember there ever being any bad blood between us.

Yeah, I said some rough things to Jamie, but (1) I don't suffer fools gladly, and (2) Jamie brought every bit of it on himself. But that's between me and Jamie, not between me and you.

I understand, it's just that it could have been done through an email and off the board, rather than throwing him under the bus about something that most people on this board know nothing about.

I however know what happened first hand and to compare that and an argument about tech rules is apples and oranges.

Enough with the arguing, let's party........or something

Ahhh... My Hero!

(I always thought it was the judge or jury who decided cases and "deceived the average person out of what is right")

Ask the average american what they think about an attorney, WHEN THEY NEED ONE!

Divorce attorneys SUCK!!!!

Fired mine when I went through my divorce. He asked me why I was letting him go and I told him I could do just as good at losing with or without him so why keep shoveling money to him as well…

Criminal defense attorneys ROCK!!!
