There is nothing wrong with the new GTO's straight line performance. It's great. But the styling is very plain. To me, the Grand Prix, Grand Am's, Bonneville's and new G6's look better.

I personally think the 'new' (04-05) GTO's are way too bland looking. Heard the '05 model has an optional hood with scoops on it (dont know if its functional or not) at no additional cost. But when that LS2 comes out, and they maybe release the one with something like the Woodward Dream Cruise edition, well, I'll be the first to say its the coolest American Sedan made under 40K (better than the Hemi 300C). And while I think Pontiac dropped the ball with such bland styling (sleeper is one thing, but having no styling cues to its heritage is a big no-no), I have to say that Ford has nothing equivalent to it, and thats a shame. Id love it if Ford would bring back the Falcon or something like that and drop in a 350-400 HP engine. Ive never owned a GM vehicle, but I give them a thumbs up on trying with the GTO (it just needs to look cooler).
