Lightning Radio Dash Kit installed.. (PICS)

Well I finally got my deck back and modded the kit. It is quite the departure from the original unit Mark made for me (www.humount.com), but the result is the same.
The blue LED's match my Radio and my Cobalt gauges to a tee. I love it.
All I did was take the Metra radio kit for our trucks, wedged the LED bar in the "pocket" that comes with the kit for the extra DIN space", and then tapped 4 holes in the edges of the kit to mount the faceplate. Wired power to the ignition lead off the radio, and ground to a ground. Voila.

on to the pics (only got 2 since I was in the work parking lot this morning doing this)

I think the plate looks great but I don't like how the screws stick out. Seems out of place to me. That is the only change I would make.

Actually I felt the same way. I bought thos screws yetserday to hold it in. He could easily make one with no holes and just use foam tape/ glue to hold it on flat.

Hehe any color can be done, as long as there's an LED color for it. He can put the logo on the top as well, if you have your "pocket" up top (dpends on which way you mount the dash kit). Any logos are doable as long as you have the graphic for him, and a blank faceplate with triple gauge pod holes is very easily doable too he said. Just ask him. He's a great guy.

Email Mark@maptechenterprises.com or head to www.humount.com for details.
I have no affiliation with him. I simply found his website, wanted a custom dash piece, and he jumped in feet first with the design and had a prototype for me within a week.

Tell him Josh with eth Lightning sent ya!

Mark can do ANY logo, so if you want an HD logo or hell, your name or something, just email him. I've done Group Purchases before, and I've arranged new products when I was with the Syclone/Typhoon crowd, and I have to say Mark has been OUTSTANDING in his commitment to getting me my kit. Of course, now everyone and their mother seems to want one, so there goes my "unique" mod It's all good fellas. Enjoy them,

Hey Bob, are you going to get Green LED's to match the Alpine?

Well he can do colors too.
If you go to www.humount.com you can see some of his other work. I thought about black but i like the brushed look.
