Just finished painting my calipers

Let me know what you think. This is on a Sonic Blue L.

Calipers were painted to have the "anodized" look with a home made lightning logo.

You did a great job, looks good. I just painted mine red to match my L. How did you do the logo?

Thanks,
Bert.

Logo

I searched around until I found a decent jpeg of the logo. Then I sized it to fit where I wanted it and printed it. Once it was printed I took and layed that piece of paper over some blue painters masking tape and trace the paper logo with an exacto. Then used another piece of tape and tranfered just the cutout onto it and applied it where I wanted.

How did you get the caliper picture to appear in the thread. Sorry for such a dumb question.

Looks great!

Can you take a pic of the whole truck to show how it looks? What brand of paint?

Thanks

cg: Nice paint job but I'd be very surprised if the logo lasts.

Thanks for the info on the logo, I'll try that.

No question is a dumb question, it might be dumb to those who already know the answer, but forgot that they did not know the answer once.

I have a Mac computer but I'm sure it will work on a PC. I went to your link, clicked on the picture to make it big then clicked on the pic again to open it in a new window, I'm not sure if you have to right click on a PC to do so, but once it opens in a new window all you have to do is to copy that new address and click on the IMG button on top where you post from and then paste that address into the pop up window for IMG and click OK and that should be it. Hope this helps.

Decals

I copied Dman25 except I believe he actually used decals he purchased and I made mine and used mine only for masking the paint. Thus mine are painted and his are decals. Dman25 please correct me if I am wrong.

well, i found the logo on the net, then printed it out, went to a local vynal(sp) shop and they made them for me for 5 bucks. They have been on for 6 months and look just as good still!

up on what color to paint them front and back.
I've got a Dark Shadow Gray 03 Lightning and what would be a good color? Logo SVT.

Red looks good on any color and it's associated with High performance brakes. Black also looks good on grey, your choice.
