Let me explain myself here. I see JDM as the supercenter of aftermarket Lightning parts... some they claim as their own, but are actually from others and re-badged. I do not look down upon K-mart - it works well for many if you need something in a pinch... I have used it like that myself. My point is that we all paid quite a bit of money for our trucks. We should not just throw anything on these trucks. Our trucks demand the best that is out there, and that is exactly why I have strayed away from JDM. I do not believe in their products or services. This comes based on the war stories that I have heard from others as well as myself. There are rarely bad stories about other vendors... just this one in particular. I purchased my silver bullet on Christmas special and was told it was fully stainless steel. It wasn't. I installed it, and it rattled against the front leaf hanger and was embarassing. No matter how I tried to adjust the system, I could not clear the leaf hanger. As I was up in there working, I noticed that after only 2-3 weeks of driving ion OH winter conditions, the outlet pipes from the mufflers to the tips were rusted very, very badly. They were to the point of flaking. My Expedition has 107,000 miles on it (all OH), and its exhaust looks 100% better. My tips are kept clean and shiny at all times, and those were never an issue. I called them about this - very nicely - to see what they could do. I got the run around for a few months on this.... I was in no way an important person to JDM. They treated me like dirt and told me lies about shipping this and shipping that. Eventually, I did get a new tail section of the exhaust... and it was again aluminized. This was at the point in time when the stainless systems were ready - I might add. I was happy about finally having that, but disappointed that it was not stainless and also upset that it TOOK SO LONG to correct a customer issue. I will never buy from them again, and I will ALWAYS share my story with everyone. I am not a specific vendor kind of person... I buy from those that have the best deal, and will not take advantage of me. Countless times, I have read of JDM doing this and doing that to their customers. If you are not spending $5000 or more in their shop, then kiss your customer service goodbye.
Jim - Yes, we met in Bristol and I was very taken aback by how shocked and scared you seemed to be of both Marc and I. It was like the principal finally caught up with you after doing something wrong. I agreed that things were fine because it was all in the past, but I still will offer my input when others ask what to buy and what not to buy.3
It is all about business ethics, and taking care of the customer. JDM has not done neither of these, and thus why I use other vendors and shy people away from you.

I was not scared, I was actually suprised and a little held back when you and Marc introduced yourselfs because both of you have made posts like this. What do you say to a person who has nothing but negative things to say about you, I thought I handled it quite well.

Customer service, well lets see since our buisness is 80% Lightnings, We have 11 Full time Employees and 2 part time. I guess this means its pretty good because we can employee this many people souly on the Lightning community.

Your tail tips, your full of ***** on your story! You knew you had to wait 8 weeks because we only have the catbacks made in a 10 week rotation. As for the fitment there has only been a few complaints out of the tractor trailor load of them out there. So you can actually get a better view of what we do I will offer to pay your way out here, sit in our sales office, shipping department, and shop to see really what our customer service is like. I think the people of the board would resepct you more A). If you put this to rest or B). you take an all payed expense vacation to JDM Engineering to give yourself a better view of our company. We have anywheres from 5-10 Lightning owners a day floating in and out of our doors. They come from florida, texas, new york, pennslyvania, Mass, Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio, Alabama, we even had one come from California! So lets see 11 Full time employees, 80% of the buisness is Lightings, I doubt we would be this big if our company was as bad as you say. I am not trying to be a smart *** by no means. I do like to please people so please take the time and take me up on my offer.
