quick fog light lense question

quick fog light lense question

the clip that holds the fog light into place broke off on the bottom... i would super glue it but i cant find the piece... i have my old fog lights but they have no lenses... can i take off the lense on my new one and put it on my old one? would that work?

yes. The lens can be removed from your housing.

01-04 fogs are one piece but I am assuming you have the 99-00 version.

from what I remember, there is a small retainer that you simply wedge up with a screwdriver to get the light out of the housing.

The glass itself is bonded to the part where the light bulb actually mounts.

You can see the small tab in the picture that holds the glass to the housing that mounts to the vehicle:

no i mean just the actual lense... the part that mounts is what is broken

I'm afraid then that you are screwed. You will need to buy a new lense since the glass is bonded to the part you broke.

Sorry if I got your hopes up but the replacements are very inexpensive.
