Early Lightnings do not, but I think it was '01 when they made the change and Yes it is a 4 layer, riveted together gasket just like a Cometic and they may be made by them, I don't know for sure.
Cometic lists there 4V gaskets at .030 thickness, I think the Lightning gasket is around .040.

As for me, you say you have a nine second lightning, since I am still a big fan of the Gen 1s I asked you to post pics of it or even your nine second time slip. You havent yet! Do you have one?? Or are you just one of those internet wannabes??

Since you are interested in the opening of the 3.3 yes the rear entry blower makes approx. 26 HP more than the radial style top entry. The rear entry is a more difficult package for the Lightning, the way you have to swing the inlet around will make it extremly difficult to get to the last 2 spark plugs. Yes it will fit a Holley 4 Barrell on top of it. Since these blowers were designed for extreme duty for off shore power boat racing. Kind of like the Kenne Bell which is the Opcon blower which was originally designed to pressurize air plane cabins.

Now show me some pics of you badass gen 1

Jim@JDM
as i said before my truck is being worked on and changed from what the previous owner did to it. i will post some pics when its done but this genii section may not care.

if you spent as much time tunning rich's truck as you do online it would have been done by now.

quick question for you jim. what do you get when you put two 33 whipples together. one 66. that number familiar to you. merry xmas

later.

....and maybe if you spent as much time worrying about your own problems as you do online harassing Jim about finishing a truck that isn't even your own, your truck would have been done by now.

Although that was kind of funny! :santa:

The 4 bbl. intake seemed like a legitimate question to me...I suppose there's more than one way to skin a cat. I'm sure some of this stems from pictures of the infamous 166 and the 4V motor with the Whipple just sitting in the intake valley from a few years ago.

And for the record, there's a whole lot of rear entry going on in this thread!

It is evident that you have been subjected to the sublingual infomercial messages JL puts out about JDM and it has corrupted your mind. I was one of those persons that never was truly converted, JL thought so though...JDM has always done the best work around, hands down.

Happy Holidays to Everyone...:santa:

I don't think JDM has EVER had the quickest truck though. If they have it's been quite a few years.

I know Sal held the title for a LONG time, then the guy in California, then Johnny, then Johnny beat it again.

To say that JDM does the best work hands down is a little of an overstatement. Personally I think FORD does the best work hands down, Hell they've produced over 20,000 lightnings.

You haven't been around to long....
JDM does the best mod work on a truck, hands down among let's say the top 3. PSP, JDM, JLP... I would put it in this order, JDM first, then PSP Sal is good, and then @(*$)%&**(%)#*#*& JLP

:santa:
