I know of a guy who is possibly selling his '01. It's got all of the goodies, well taken care of and low miles.

Whipple had a 5.4 32V Navigator with a Whipple Blower installed and working on it at an autoshow last year. Ihave pictures of it somewhere on my computer.

There was a few threads about it as well (which I'll search to find in a minute).

The story (as I remember) was that they drove it up to the show and no one knew what it had under the hood until they popped it open.

So Yes, there is a 5.4 32v Whipple s/c out there running around

That was Chris Weisbergs Works 4V Navigator at last years SEMA. I believe they were talking about JDM's 4V.

You mean like this???

I can't believe no one else is jumping on this one...the 4V motor has been the 'Holy Grail' of Lightningdom for years now and no one else wants to see a picture of JDM's 4V motor???

C'mon Jim and gang...let's see some pics of this thing.

There have been plenty of pictures of Jims 32V 5.4 I know he had issues with the intake, but I believe he has that straightened out, and may even have had it running.

Its an awsome concept, and it seems like it wouldn't be that hard, but there are obviosly some conflicts or else we'd see them all over the place. I for one, REALLY hope Jim has this beast running next year. I don't even know if thats still what he's working on, but how sick would it be to see a 32V 5.4 with a 3.3 Whipple, and a 200+ shot of giggle gas??????? That would be friggin crazy!!!!!!!! Between that, Sals hair dryer, and Johnnys ultralight....there is going to be some cool azz trucks next year....now we can only hope they actually see the light of day!

The only picture I recall seeing was the picture of Bill's (hdmlnium) 4V motor with a Whipple sitting in the intake valley but no actual intake. Haven't been able to find anything new since...

thank you.

This is the holy grail of the Lightning.

Look at it this way the gen 2 has been around since 1999 (5 years)
I haven't seen any significant changes to the engine.
Yeah a few aftermarket blowers, and nitrous.
But no 32v, no turbo's etc..

C'mon it's been 5 years, Start whipping out those beasts.

I'd have one by know if it were for school and the DAMN EXPENSIVE ring my G/F wants on her Finger!

(anyone have a line on a diamond wholesaler?)

hmmm

I just noticed that in that picture the EGR tube is off and looks like there are no vaccum lines anywhere. Does or did that thing ever run or is it all of show???

I seem to recall Sal saying something about the truck...it was for a SEMA show (the 2003 show I believe) and that the EGR wasn't hooked-up and that there was some type of 'governor' on the throttle that essentially limited it to idling onto the show floor. I can't tell in the picture how the throttle cables are set up but I think it was wired to provide very little movement.
