I was told you could use it on a daily driver.

Ford racing sells the complete whipple conversion kit. I saw it at Sema and it looks fantastic!

Bzzzt! Wrong! They have a part # and everything else, and it will be in the new FRPP catalog... BUT, it has not been released yet.

Hey Jim,

Is this a winter project or a long-term thing? (Availability)

While I realize you don't have an operational one yet, any predictions on capabilities?? HP/Boost etc....

See you in 28............

Wa2fst,
This is not vaporware or work in progress. This kit is fully engineered and ready for introduction. Certainly not something somebody is building in his garage. I saw the complete kit which is currently being manufactured and made ready for distribution for release in January.

TB,

I'm not doubting that you saw it at the SEMA show. I realize it was there in "full production" trim. However, if you call FRPP or, better yet Whipple, they will tell you that the kit is not ready for release yet... even though it was indeed at SEMA, and supposedly most, if not all, of the R&D was done at that time.

FRPP has it out on their website, and they are marketing it. Yet, it is not in production or available for sale at this time.

Again, I'm not trying to say its vaporware. I am a bit disappointed that there seems to be more going on for the race 3.3L blower than the 2.3L one, which should have greater demand.

As a side note, the only reason I'd buy it through FRPP is if it comes with a warranty, or some sort of writer that will not void the factory warranty on the truck (both of which I doubt). Otherwise, FRPP will be $500+ more expensive than other distributors.

yeah you're right, lets not put feelers out in the market to determine how much of a demand there is for this EXPENSIVE New product..

You're missing my point. I have no issue with them marketing it as an "available in the future" type deal. I wasn't born yesterday.

But anyone who says its available _now_ is mistaken. It's not.

I'm staring at the 05 ford racing catalog and there is no price. Basically just a teaser that they will be coming soon and to check the website for updates. It does specifically say that is voids the warranty.
