I agree. Very good points. Although, for someone that has a built motor, this would be a very nice setup. Big numbers, yet it costs half as much as a KB

I need to point out the test JLP ran was with a 2.9” upper not the 2.7” we have shipped with all other Magnum blowers. We manufactured some 2.9” uppers for those who want a safer street setup for this coming cold winter season. The 2.9” pulley as shipped by mistake by our shipping department; this unfortunate selection of parts was not the fault of JLP but ours. By the time I discovered the error it was too late to get the 2.7” pulley to JLP. As you can see from the charts the Magnum likes to be turned fast but as it turned out it was turning slower for JLP’s test with the 2.9”. JL now has the 2.7” and will run more tests when he returns to it sometime in January.

when you ran this dyno you have a built block? cams, heads? i just got my engine built by JL and with the stock eaton@12psi,stock fan, stock water pump, stock headers i ran 434rwhp and 518rwtq on 93 octane.. with stage 2 cams and ported heads. im looking into blowers now but thinking about just porting the eaton... too bad johnny didnt have the right upper for the mp when he did the tests for it... i wanna see some good things from the test before i dump anymore money into my truck.

Yes i had a built lower, heads and stage two cams.I might be off on the timing,it was quite a while ago.In my opinion you should go with a magnum. If your gonna spend the money to port the eaton, spend a few more and go with the magnum. You could then sell your eaton and really bring cost down. You should then be a solid 11 sec truck.

If someone spends at least $8k on a built longblock, why would another $1400 really make a huge financial strain on them. I wouldn't want to to skimp on one detail If I already invested all that money.

My thoughts on the matter:
The MP really does prove itself to be a worthy blower. Now in the port vs MP discusion...I personally would chose the MP because it gives you so many more options. Later on down the road if you go built block, you can just turn up the boost, where the ported is out of steam. Also....as for MP vs KB....again...MY OPINION for MY INTEREST I would still chose the MP because if I now had a built block and MP but wanted more power...I could use the money I saved and put it towards a nice Ronbo style juice kit? Does anyone else here see that the MP/Cam'd/Juiced truck might be a really sweet set up for the guys that want to do a LOT of street driving, and still haul azz on the track????? That is the eventual goal of my truck....and I am always right, so everyone should do exactly as I do!
