Pic of new Whipple 2.3 Lightning blower

Here's a quote from Dustin on the availability:

"We have 50 inlet castings, 50 base plates made. We have set up the program to machine the inlet casting (have to be modified from current form). Laser cut pieces are made, etc. Were going to be gone all week at SEMA so we lose a week. Were driving the original Lighting back from Vegas so we can check everything out."

That is the best looking blower I have ever seen. When can we get some numbers on price and power?

there have been estimates on here ranging from 2800-4k+... but it should be competitive with the KB...

To answer everyones questions:

Price: Dustin was aiming at a price of 2895 for the 2300ax kit. I personally think it might be a bit more because a intake tube comes with it, along with a throttle body, and a tube from the TB to the MAF.

Stock color will be black but a polished upgrade will be about 600bux more.

Power numbers: None as of yet however on a bone stock lightning with a stock lower pulley and a 3.25 pulley the 2.3 is getting 14.5lbs of boost which is nuts. With the same pulley combo the 2.2 KB's are getting 12.5lbs. That is outstanding flow.

The 3300ax kit has not even been casted yet. it fits under the hood with no modifications. The rear inlet is huge, it angles down under the firewall and makes a big long sweeping turn towards the front. The TB then sits basically where the 2.3 unit does, then theres a tube from there to the MAF. The 3300ax version comes farther forward and has a much larger inlet casting and a larger TB. the 3300ax kit comes with a 150mm oval blade throttle body while the 2300ax kit comes with a round 90mm throttle body.

Hope this answers some questions. I will try to answer as many questions as i can from what i know from whipple.

I will say that these will soon be kickin ***!!
