Most likely the IC lines are all hose now.. no hardlines.. if you run a works blower, thats one of the mods you have to do..

Wow...I didn't realize how ugly the Works 112 actually was. Nothing personal to anybody who has/had one.

It's not really the blower that's so ugly but, at least in this picture, the hard plastic line from the rubber boot (with the silver sticker on it) looks to be all kinked! And the front of the 112 looks suspiciously like an MP blower (the spot where the oil fill is looks identical).

I was researching Works and Whipple and came across some stuff about the JDM/Works 166 and the PSP Works 140. What ever happened to those? Also, didn't Works/Whipple go out of business?

works 112 - 112 ci roots type eaton blower, rear inlet with custom intake

works 140 - 140 ci twinscrew whipple blower, custom rear inlet. a true beauty and a beast of a blower...damn fast, ask Dale. works took a generic 2300 blower and adapted it to fit a lightning

JDM 166 - vaporware.

Kenne Bell - 138 ci (if i remember right) autorotor twin screw, widely used and has been pretty well proven.

then not to mention the rare and upcoming centrifugal and turbo setups.

i was told that works dropped the lightning blower to switch production over to the cobras.

So the new Whipple 2.3 is just a variation of the old Works 140?

Is the 3.3 the *new* 166?

Uhhhh...no. The 166 is a lot like any of the following:

Sasquatch/bigfoot
Yeti/abominable snowman
A Leprechaun and his pot of gold at the end of a rainbow
A unicorn
The tooth fairy, Easter bunny or Santa Claus
A hot 25 year old virgin woman

It doesn't friggin' exist!!! The infamous 166 is either still on a slow boat from China where it's been for three years now or, more likely, was a figment of someone's very vivid imagination.
