This is the first time I hear that a L had a front end and brake problem. What issues did you have?
TB
on my 02 the brakes would fade out completely in normal stop/go driving. The ABS would kick in all the time and then the peddle would just go to the floor. I brought it into the dealer several times and each time they said it was normal. The last time the dealer said i needed new tires and it would go away. on more than one occasion I nearly hit another car due to this problem. It got better for some odd reason whenI replaced the rotors, but it was still present. Also, after owning a 99 L I knew how good the brakes were on one, but my 02 never had good braks.
How wierd I have had the exact same brake problems since day one and acctually did rear end somebody because of it. Needless to say that Ford cant find anything wrong with them. Every once in a while it happens. I will hit the brakes, the truck will start to stop and then the brake pedal just fades and goes to the floor and the truck stops stopping. Have to release and repress the pedal to complete the stop. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
yup, that is exactly what happened to my truck. As far as ford was concerned it was normal, or I needed new tires, or I did not turn my rotors, or I needed new pads. Of course on my dime. It's funnyI had the extended warranty on the truck (never did come of any use) and the dealer on the cobra was trying to get me to do it again. I told them to take a flying a leap and went off about my brakes. Needless to say they gave up on that one.
