Whats Up?

Alright to the point, in my location, without wanting to drive, I had Sam at Coastla Dyno in Brandon tune mine. Excellent results, simoly outstanding.

I am not going to get involved with the bull****, cause for one, its not my thread to jack up, and two, they're all great guys. Done business with JLP, JDM, and PSP, and I have no complaints. If I did, I'd keep them between myself and the vendor.

Just so I know, what the hell is the point in talking **** on the internet like 14 year olds in a chat room? Grow the f*ck up.

There are people on these boards who like to hijack them and talk smack. They need to go away if all they're going to do is start sh*t when a tuner thread is started!

Did a little checking and found out he is just a 19 year old punk, with a slow *** truck....................He must be the ***** envy type...................................ha ha aha aha The dancing Banana should make you feel better.
you need to get a job or find something better to do than find out how old i am. and btw thats not the right age so keep searching. I think its funny how all the old men on this site get so pissed that people like me have accomplished what took them 35-40 years to do. This is clearly your case. Have fun calling me out from 2000 miles away. You must be the bigger man in this case....post some times when you get them. I'm sure they'll be comical and excuse filled.

JLP has been good to me. I talked to all of them at frist and JLP talked the best to me. He had time to talk with me and see what my needs was. He also had a black truck. HAHA

Just talk to all of them and pick the one that talkes the best. You can tell if they are shooting you full bull $%#$.

They all are slower now because of all the work they are doing now. We all are looking for more out of the trucks and they all have to work to get it for us.

Hey guys.. look bottom line... there are a ton of vendors out there as well as tuners... call them up and make your own assumptions. No matter who you talk you, they are going to have the own opinions about each vendor... get the vendors number and call them up... period!

Although this thread seems to have devolved into some vendor-bashing yet again, here's my take on tuning...

Fast times are not necessarily indicative of the 'best' tune. There are a lot of other factors that go into it. Some are mutually exclusive, others can be compromises.

A 'safe' tune is seldom the fastest, although a slow tune isn't always safe.

Some local tuners are good, some are not. Depends on your region. If you're not going with one of the 'big 3' try to find someone you know offline or in person who's had good luck with your tuner and has the same goals.

Find out how much time has been spent on driveability. If you only hear about 1/4 mile times and dynos, chances are your tune may not be as daily-driveable. That may be ok or it may not.

Does the tuner write the files themselves or do they need to call someone to 'burn' their changes for them?
I'd agree with that.
I have 1 tune on my truck and I run 12's with it. I'm happy with it.
I didn't get a race tune because:
1. I didn't want one
2. I didn't want to pay for one
3. I didn't have 100 octane fuel in the tank to tune for it

One thing I will add is not all dyno queens are fast at the track.

Seems everyone is concerned about peak numbers... as explained 1000 times on this and every other board, peak numbers don't always equal good times at the track.

BTW can you find someone who ran faster than 11.30 on Nittos with a 1.58 60ft. at close to 5200lbs..........and Lets see those great times that you run...........I also ran 11.00 before the new tune.......and your times????????......Yes not to be confused, I said I........

KNockout....don't worry about him, look at the rest of his posts.
Besides, I don't think he is legally old enough to race his truck. Do they let you race with a learners permit?

Jr...have you ever actually raced your truck? And no one is impressed because you can afford your truck. I see crack addicts every day driving Benz's that cost twice the price of a L, wearing gold chains that cost more than all the mod money you could scrape together.

Everyone,

I wasn't trying to be rude, but I mean come on. We all have L's and we are all welcome here. There is just no need for some of the BS. Some of the **** debated here, like vendors, is pointless. All that 99 wanted was some help, how did it elevate to another level. Everyone has an opinion, so why fight. I don't post that much because of this. I'm only 20, but I see the total lack of maturity with all the BS. All I'm saying is give whoever initiated the thread your best info and don't fight with others. Again, I'm not trying to **** off anyone, we're all bro's here, we should be bashing imports, chevy's, and dodge's.

I totally agree. It's amazing how one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch, especially when the bad apple deny's he's the problem. Mods should just clean the forum out of anyone that starts trash. One warning, then you're gone. Other forums I visit have basically zero tolerance and it's great to actually discuss things and help each other out.
