You clearly have a hard on for JDM or any of his customers. We get the point MOVE ON...

Back to the topic - He said his truck ran that number what difference does it make who was driving. He never said I ran a 10.71....

If he had his truck dynoed at 600 hp but wasnt behind the wheel at the dyno would that mean the truck didnt pull 600 hp ?

As usual you just find something to bitch about...

At least you are consistent..
What I've learned in my years, is that azzholes don't realize that they are the azzhole. Why is this guy even around anymore? I visit other forums (mostly detailing) a lot more now and it's nice to visit a forum where bashing isn't tolerated. This Lightning forum has to be one of the worst for that. Less tolerance will make for a bette forum.

On a side note i find it pretty funny that you only get involved when JDM bashing occurs (which it didnt here until YOU decided to make it happen, re-read my reply) but when PSP or JLP or RWTD or the such get badmouthed.......the great once himself looks away

Awaiting your clever response.

Dont want to give away too many secrets but I don’t read every thread. Brooks and Steve and I look for patterns. And we look at the threads that people complain about.

In this case there are 2 patterns -
1) A member reported this thread to me
2) You have made a habit of ****ting on perfectly decent threads.

Show me a recent thread where some one like you was deliberately taking a PSP or JL thread in the ****ter, where we didn’t respond

The point I was making was that he never said HE did anything - But somehow you got your panties in a wad about who was driving. And somehow you got all twisted about who tuned the thing and that I guess you were saying that only the tuner could make the truck run that number. Im not sure how that is related to his point but .. then when you are determined to take a thread in the ****ter you have to go off topic and change your point a bit ...

Based on the other responses it appears that many of the other members have begun to see your true colors..

Here is a quote from an email I recieved about this thread
Hey Doug,

This is XXXXXX, I met you down in Ennis in 2001 ....Anyway just wanted to know how much longer we are going to have to put up with Jim Jr aka *** clown. I wish the forum was more like the old days lol.

Well hope to see ya again sometime, I missed Ennis again but am trying to make time for either Cali or AZ.

Doug

if recess is over i have a question kinda related to this post (atleast its about tunes)

Anyway on a 03 Lighting with no tuner in the area and parts people arguing that you have a regular 5.4 and not a blown 5.4. Is the microtuner 1715 a good general tune with a 2# and tr7ix's?

Btw - I am not in the 10's or 11's but hopefully the 12's so I probably won't beat many trucks on here but I would appreciate any help that can be given - thanks.

Doug

oh Douglas

all the cheap low shots in the world couldnt affect me.
once again please go back and ask yourself who started all this bull ****. If you get your ignorant head out of your ***...........you'll see it was infact you. I CLEARLY EXPLAINED and put it in caps that i was not bashing JDM. Is it really my problem that some uneducated redneck came on here that dosnt understand reading comprehension and read it the wrong way? Maybe you should give reading lessons to the "assclown" that sent you the email. Hopefully he'll step up here and show some *****.

What you said to Knockout was way out of line. You don't know him, infact he is a great guy and will give just about anyone the shirt off his back. The reason he wasn't racing his truck, was that he was racing his Cobra and doing a damn awesome job with the Cobra.

Since Mike isn't here to bitch slap you himself here is the next best thing.

go use another screw driver and hammer to break up a broken sparkplug in the head. Genious.

JimJr,

Watch out, from what I've seen on this forum. Fightning with the moderators is not a good thing. You probably already got one foot out the door, from being around on this board...

To keep this on topic,

I have my truck tuned by Jerry at SCT, and i'm very happy.

However I also think Sal is the man, and definitely the coolest lightning tuner there is, I wouldnt hesitate to use him either.

A phrase I saw on another site........how fitting.

"Never argue with idiots, they'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience."

Did a little checking and found out he is just a 19 year old punk, with a slow *** truck....................He must be the ***** envy type...................................ha ha aha aha The dancing Banana should make you feel better.

This thread went downhill fast...

Although this thread seems to have devolved into some vendor-bashing yet again, here's my take on tuning...

Fast times are not necessarily indicative of the 'best' tune. There are a lot of other factors that go into it. Some are mutually exclusive, others can be compromises.

A 'safe' tune is seldom the fastest, although a slow tune isn't always safe.

Some local tuners are good, some are not. Depends on your region. If you're not going with one of the 'big 3' try to find someone you know offline or in person who's had good luck with your tuner and has the same goals.

Find out how much time has been spent on driveability. If you only hear about 1/4 mile times and dynos, chances are your tune may not be as daily-driveable. That may be ok or it may not.

Does the tuner write the files themselves or do they need to call someone to 'burn' their changes for them?
