I would give Mike Troyer a call. He has many of us in the mid 12's safely, plus he has much quicker trucks.
I try to stay away from the JDM stuff as they are the K-Mart of the Lightning aftermarket parts business. They carry quite a bit of stuff, but quality and service are crappy, at best.
Talk to a broad range of people with different tuners, and see what they say as far as quality and service - that will make your decision much easier.

I would reccomend visiting some of your local Dyno shops and interviewing the operators to determine their compentancy and experience with Lightning tuning. A McTuner can't dyno your truck using your a mod listing sheet and psychic vision over a distance of 3000 miles and deliver a accurate tune, although JLP and SAL have exhibited some uncanny abilities recently

Just my best suggestion for the safest, most accurate tuning.

Isn't that what you guys traditionally do at every event?

Even though I'm no fan of JDM. I gotta disagree with thier parts and tunes being of generic quality. I think quite the opposite actually.

My beef with them is the actuall business aspect of getting those parts. To keep the moderators off my back I won't say (again ((was deleted))) what that was.

If you have a predator and a laptop with wireless internet the PSP can tune your truck while you are at the dyno anywhere in the world. I know Sal has done this with trucks out west.
I am sure JLP can do something similar too.

I have used both with 100% satisfaction (except the busy signal all day long, I can install a second line for free!)

Thumbs up

I'd also give thumbs up to give Mike Troyer a call. he's always been quick to handle my questions and update my tunes...the email update kit is a must have with the SCT. Service, support, knowledge, and best of all... he'll take the time to explain every detail. He and Anita are great people to deal with!

not trying to bash in anyway, I hate bashers, but I met Jim at FFW last weekend and he was a complete **** to me. I had a few questions about a tune and he had not 1 minute to even talk to me, it was like I wasn't even there, made me feel like I wasn't worth his time. What's funny is I talked to a few others while I was at the event and they had similar stories. I will not be taking my tune $$ else were.

Not to talk bad about anyone but just as what I have seen in the time I have been here. As to what I have seen, JDM has his selected customers. I have used JLP for my parts, for example I just got a chip from them. I told them I want this chip on this date and surely it got her that day. I have never ordered from JDM but ive have heard so many bad things about them, even from a local friend.

Jim Jr

He could have run it with Walter Croncite in the passenger seat and you would have found a way to crap on this thread.

Do us a HUGE favor and keep all your negative bashing **** to yourself. If you dont have something constructive/informative to say dont say anything

Doug
