I kill everyone of them cars I see and that damn SRT-4 every chance I get. I used not to even think about them until they started comimg up and reving me. It seemed like everytime I went some where I would have to go thru this, so if I am in the Cobra or Lightning and one even looks at me crossed eyed...he's history.

Thanks! I was originally planning on getting another one in red, but the wife talked me into silver. Now that I have seen it all polished up, I love the color.

Wow, we have stumbled upon the best driver with the fastest vehicles in the world!

There is always someone faster.

It's funny to me to see the STi and Evo's get written off as "just rice". They are such versatile performance cars. Not many cars can run 1.6-1.7 60ft at the strip on street tires, run low 13's high 12's bone stock. Finish a drag pass and hit the road course with absolutely no changes and run with and in some cases faster than many exotics. Try that in an L or Cobra and try to keep up. Setup an L or Cobra to hook up at the drags and it will suck on a road course. Set them up for the road course and they have a hard time hooking at the drags. AWD and factory four wheel Brembo brakes are awesome. People need to open their eyes and minds and see beyond the "Blue Oval". Myself I am a performance junkie. I love anything fast. Brand loyalty??? Yeah right... Not unless the brand is paying for the fun. For me those days ended when my sponsership ran out.

I got into it with an '04 wrx sti last week from a 20 and 60 roll. I took him easily, but not as quick as I have taken vette's,camaro's,etc. I was impressed with how quick it was though. Not sure of his mods, but it was fast. Young guy. His jaw was dropped when he pulled back up along side me. We never exchanged words, just looks.....and his was priceless!

That's how I feel about ricers. I like the cars, I just hate the attitudes.

If you beat me in the STi, I'm going home and getting my bigger brother to deal with you.

wrx kill

These WRX guy are fast I agree, but here in Hawaii When we run the strip at night its 89 with 75% humity, they wont dip below 14.00. From a roll I consistantly pull on them on the street and my L is stock.

Thumbs up I don't care if it is fast......

If it's a tin can 4 banger fart cannister that thinks he's fast, and he gets shut down by American iron, I always enjoy the feeling of teaching a lesson.

The "rice" thing goes beyond the actual vehicle, but it's a combination of arrogance/ignorance/superiority on the part of the owner, which gives off that "rice" attitude that's so much fun shutting down.

About 100hp difference between a WRX and a STi. Stock WRX puts down about 160 whp and a stock STi is about 260 whp.

I love it, MOP ...

I run against the Sti's on track and they are dayum fine
automobiles. Engineering is a wonderful thing. Why does
almost every Lightning owner think they have the "killer"
vehicle when there are a lot of vehicles that will give them
a run fo rhte money? Ricer's aren't the only ones with
bad attitudes, imho.

Freind of mine just bought an SRT-4 and it's a great car too....

Well take the EVO and STI, can they leave the drags and then be capable of towing away another 5,000lbs or carrying 1350lbs in the bed................don't think so!!

Fact is we are all posting on a Lightning forum (not rice), so of course the majority of us are L biased and loyal to our truck!

I have a neighbor down the street that drove an 11 sec TransAm daily until he got a STi a few months back...now all the T/A does is sit in the driveway with the cover over it so the "POS rice" must have some kinda fun factor over the american muscle. From 60-120 we were almost dead even with me pulling on him slightly at the end and he's not stock either. So these things are definately not something to laugh at. Personally if I could have another car it would be a hard choice between a cobra, STi, or a EVO...all of which are fairly easy to upgrade and make faster.

Kind of missed my point. I was attempting to emphisize the all around track potential. Nothing about day to day utility. Obviously then L can out tow and haul a subcompact. If you wish to compare other non performance useless info how about MPG. My STi does 20mpg in town (if I behave) and a best of 26 on the highway. Never saw that even when my L was stock.

Keep in mind I am not biased against the L's. I loved mine. Had both the L and STi for a while. Like the Trans Am my L sat more than it was driven once I got the STi. I plan to own another L once the new generation is out.

A closed mind is a terrible thing to waste.
