Tempted by the fruit of a another...03 cobra or Roush Stage III?

Team Ford in Marrietta here in Ga. has two great cars i'm interested in.. I had a post earlier about selling my truck to a buddy and buying a house..Well it's happening all over again..I found two great deals on two nice cars.. an 03 cobra (yellow, polished wheels, 3 pod gauge cluster) with 12,000 miles for $26,000. The other car is an 01 stage 3 roush build# 113 for $24,000 (black with chrome wheels.) .. This is the same problem I had when I was faced with buying a L or a house and of course the L was the sword of choice.. These are both great deals but If I did decide on the cars what do you think would be the better of the two cars? Of course I won't make the same mistake twice but would be nice to own a Roush..

Cobra all the way...

The Rousch packages have always been to be mostly about looks. If you like the looks, then great, but the 03 Cobra is just a killer... with a warranty, it's hard to beat.

And then there's always the modding potential....

Ultimately it's whatever makes you happy bro....but wasn't the whole reason for flipping your truck so you could get a house?

As much as I like the 03 Cobras, I would take the Roush... Don't see as many of them.
Just my opinion though..

Stage 3 Roush? Definitaly the Roush. Looks sick, not as many of them, and that sounds like a good deal. Besides, if its a stage 3 it should be charged and be about as fast as the Cobra.... No use in changing your mine from the house to the Cobra. Get something different if you are not going to get the house

Your 28 and living at home with your MOM ?

Why not just take full advantage of the situation and have her buy the car, that way you can live at home with mom AND drive her car.

Now, if your mom actually needs someone to take care of her due to a physical disability or age related conditon...... Please disreguard my rude post. I think it's wonderfull when children step up to the plate and take care of parents instead of sending them off to an old folks home.

I vote for the Cobra

All Roush Mustangs have 2 valve motors. The 4 valve in the Cobra is simply BAD ***. Absolutely Bulletproof and it starts where the Roush basically maxes out. Plus the warranty and potential that come with the Cobra is hard to beat. I drove my cousin's 03 Cobra(convertible ) and I was blown away by how fast it was stock. Absolutely insane. Get the Cobra if anything. Plus, for some reason, in drag tests, Roush mustangs never really put up a lot of mph. Maybe all that plastic?

No contest.....Cobra all the way. The bottom end on those Cobras are really built strong. Where as the Roush......all bark and no bite.

The house is what you should buy. I know that and you know that, ok? Now that we have that cleared up, let's talk about the Stang. The choice is easy, because it really comes down to 2 valve or 4 valve. Take a good look at the smooth Cobra picture posted by Knockout_tx and ask youself if you'd prefer a thin, sleek looking body, or one with on too much makeup to cover up a basic problem - not enough valves. Or, tell you what, you buy the Roush and I'll buy the Cobra. We'll roll for pinks and I'll own one of each.

Hey, If it's not first class, what is it?

The Cobra is s factory car with factory warranty. If you look in Kelly Blue Book, it shows a Cobra. The Roush is just a gussied up Mustang GT from an aftermarket company. No Blue Book listing for a Roush. The Roush is a little less expensive but really has much less value. Bring the Cobra in for service, and SVT makes sure you get a rental car. Roush ??????

Sounds simple to me....... COBRA

But, if it is a Stage 3, you have a car that will out handle most cars due to its $6000 suspension. Not many will have it and it looks sexy. If it is a Stage 3 it will be turning the same times as an 03 Cobra. But, some mentioned, the Cobra starts where the Roush 3 will be leaving off. The Roush is only 2v and SOHC and basically a GT with a blower and looks. With the Cobra, Ford did everything they didn't do to the Lightning. The rods can handle plenty of boost
