Recall on crappy plastic door guards
I have a tendency to drag my feet as I am getting out rather than going in.
I am trying to minimize the wear on the corner of the seat bolster. So I generally push off the cheesey plastic stock sill.
I might just give the new supporting vender a try with the stainless ones

Not to sound stupid, but is that truly 'black'? The ones I got looked like that, until I peeled the plastic protective cling wrap off (barely tell it was there) and voila, its a highly reflective silver finish...........with the lines and 'SVT' etched.

Huh? I have never put my foot anywhere near them. Do the rest of you have some strange entry/exit procedure?

So if I go to 1st Ford's website and plug in part #2M5Z-5413208-DA, I'll get a pair of the polished units and not black ones? Or do they just come with the black protective film on them that can be removed?
I won mine off of ebay, about $10-20 if I remember correctly for the set, I have had them for over a year now, they were cheap and look really nice. I have yet to see a set of black brushed aluminum ones so I wouldn't worry about that. Just do a search for SVT Focus brushed aluminum door guards, they should come up. They do look much better in person also.
