Recall on crappy plastic door guards

I believe SVT made a mistake at the factory when assembling our trucks. They installed these cheap, tacky plastic door guards in error.

Using only a small screwdriver, I pryed loose the offending plain plastic strips. Viola! Problem solved, the truck trim looks far better than delivered.

I found them on Ebay, but I'm sure Ford still stocks them.

Nice! How does it attach? Double-sided tape? How much?

They come with an adhesive strip on the bottom. Just remove the old plastic part, clean off the bottom of the sill with windex or alcohol, and line it up with the outline of the old pad, and press down.

I paid $25 each for them on Ebay, however I'm not quite sure what the dealer would want for the OE part.

I wish they clipped in! Good find nonetheless!

What material is it? Brushed aluminum?

1stfordparts sells them for $19 each (Ford lists them at $25 each). Dont know why Ford put them on a Focus and not our L's in the first place. Just got mine a week ago and its getting painted by a Friend (the SVT logo to match red truck).
