I thought it was dumping boost, but a few minutes ago, it did it again. After the bypass trick. Any ideas? Oh well, 10lbs of boost feels good! Thanks again guys!
HAHAHAHA this brought a huge smile to my face. I love how everone calls it farting noise the first time and they don't know what it is.

I just couldn't think of another way to describe it! The first time I heard it, that's exactly what I thought of

I'm LMAO reading this (ok maybe the moring plays a little part) hehehehe
But the day I got mine, and did my first Power Brake/ Launch / WOT 123 Shift, I was like WTF IS THIS ???????????????
I'd power brake it into a nice smokey, it would hit the limiter bog down then short shift second, I'd be like WTF WAS THAT, then all of a sudden it would take back off, downshift back into first, then start farting before shifting second. I HATED IT SOOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD, especially coming from my 96 Cobra in which red line DIDN'T EVEN START until 6900 (I believe it was), with my chip moved rev limiter and other mods, it was normal to see 7200-7500 power shifts. Now all of a sudden I can't even go 5500, that was the biggest learning curve about owing a L for me,
schitt even my BB Chevelles would go 6500 RPM.

So it was actually that night I found out I could eliminate that problem with a chip and I immediatly bought one and shut off the Torque Reduction and moved my Rev Limiter to a Spot I will never have to Hit Again

Why are you supprised? You do understand what this "mod" is don't you?

I reckon in life people are attracted to shiney things? Let me guess... the word "boost" did it for you? right?

LMAO! You could have atleast explained why he didnt feel any gains

birdy111, Unplugging it will basically allow you to hold all your boost if you are running more boost then stock. Otherwise the truck would sense the extra boost and dump it.

PS, For what its worth I modded my truck with 1500 miles on it including unplugging the Boost selenoid and have never had any problems (no Engine light or trouble code). That was over 1.5 years ago.

PPS, I also laughed at the farting noise thing. Thats exactly how I decribed it when I was a Lightning newbeeeee.

You know I've gone through a few emotions on this particular subject. I figure that since the proper information is readily available via a search.. Why not just have some fun with it?
