Smile Need feedback on Volant cold air package

I need feedback from anyone who has installed a Volant cold air intake package. Do you need to retune, or change the timing?
Thanx for any help given,
Gary in WA 2002 Silver Lightning

My truck detonated and did not run as well as a stock setup modified. There are better choices out there.

I have one one my 02L. I have a SBTB,ported upper intake and blower, 4# pulley. I cut a 2 inch diameter hole in the bottom and connected a hose that goes down to the bumper, just to get it some more cold air. I love the way it looks and I haven't a single complaint about it.

I've had my Volant system in my truck since June. I've had one of the vendors system in my previous 99 Lightning. Yes the two trucks are different. The other system was fine but I felt the fan wash effect of it due to the open element under the hood.

The Volant system works great and is an easy install. I did feel a greater SOTP difference after it was installed and I have had no problems with it.

Does the Volant kit have a panel filter or a conical filter?

I like the quality of thier product. As long as your under approx 13psi I'd think it to not be a bottleneck for WOT operation.

We have found them to be a pretty restrictive on modded trucks when on the dyno.
