Cleaning Intercooler

I just removed the blower last night and there is an oil film on the inside of the blower casing and rotors. Should I clean them off or keep the film on it. I also have some of the rotor coating flaking off so I don't want to do any more harm if that is possible. If I need to clean them how sould I do it? Also when you removed your blower how did you torque the rear drivers side bolt? I had a hard time reaching it to removed it or should I have removed the boost dump sylnoid?

JBH,

The 01's had a diff coating on the Rotor's, and unfortunatly
it didn't stay on too well. Won't effect the performance much,
but that crap will get all over, YES I WOULD CLEAN IT.

In 02 they started using a better coating on the rotors,
and it seems to stay on much better. When I pulled my Eaton, I was very happy to see two things, One, The Rotors were perfect

My 02 Rotor Assy closest to you, as you see it's coated well

The Rotors you see further away are 01's, hardly a spec of coating left.

And two, not a spec of oil on my Intercooler, the Lightning Enterprise PCV Fix works perfect

Did the 99-00 have any coating and did it come off?

I guess that spinning the hell out of the blower can worsen this.
