Installing Front Springs

Tomorrow, I am going to attempt to install my Ground Force front lowering springs. My question to anyone who has done this is......How difficult of a job is this. I have done numerous front spring swaps on Mustangs but never on a Lightning. Is this something I can do myself with relative ease or is this something I should have a shop do? Also, are the tie rods and spindle ball joints a pain to bang out once the nuts have been removed? Thanks for any help.

Since you've done Mustang springs a few times, the Lightning/HD springs are a piece of cake in comparison.

I'd like to put a set of 'em on my 03...... Please post how they ride and how much they dropped the front end. Yhey're supposed to actually improve the ride and drop the front about an inch.

They are great for the price! Some improvment in handeling but I would have just bought em' to level it out too. Easy to install just remember you need 4 of those bolts that I cant remember the name of, I only bought 2 to start and had to chase the other 2 down. Nice not having to use spring compressors. You'll want to upgrade later but these are an axcellent start!

Here's some detail pics ...

The easiest way is to remove the upper control arms from
the chassis and replace (install) teh cam bolts. This allows
the springs to be installed without messing with the Ball Jopints
and steering stuff ...

a half hour a side should do it ...
