Damn, who stole the boost>???
Well I took my brother's Lightning out tonight since he had the Cobra out. Rockin' the bling blings.
Well anyways, I got on it a few times. The last time I took a gander at the boost guage and it was only showing 11PSI. So I say woah, wait a minute, I must be going blind. His truck has a 6lb lower and ported blower. He has to be making more then 11PSI, right>??? Wrong. I hit it again, running it to the top of 1st and midway thru 2nd. Still only 11PSI. The temp guage said it was 80* out. I still am thinking the truck should be making 13-14PSI, no>??? I dunno, anyone have any ideas>??? Makes his 12.1X run at Cecil on his winter program even more impressive. Hmmmm. -Mat-

Thats a dam impressive time for a 6lb pulley Mat,
he must have quite an agressive tune (winter tune or not)
But as you said WHERE'S THE BOOST ???
Schitt, with only a 4lb lower and the Wasp I see every bit of 13 lbs.
With the 2lb upper added, (that stays on for Spring Summer and Fall), I get at least 12lbs of boost at 1/4 throttle w/ NO PROB at all. At WOT I have every bit of 16 lbs, even in 85 degree's
Maybe the guage is just bad (Autometer or not) ???

Tommy, so your saying a simple filter chip n pulley at 11 degrees
can run an 11 ( there's something your not telling
)
My truck WILL NOT even go down the track with anything less that 15 degrees of timing. I've tried 3 tuners and 11 programs and thats a FACT for my truck. Anything less than 15 degrees and it'll fall flat on it's face and studder at top end cutting off and on with power. I've prob tried a good 20 passes with 14 degrees and less and get the identical results EVERYTIME.
Put it up to 16 - 18 degrees and WAM another 1/2 to full second
off my ET and it pulls like a mo fo the ENTIRE way.
I guess what ever works for you, if there's one thing WE ALL HAVE LEARNED, each and every L runs diff with the same program. I don't think two in the entire world will run the same on the same tune. Mine just happens to need timing to run correctly, and I've met MANY L owners that found out the same exact thing with theirs.

He has much more than just a chip and filter. I have a feeling you are diving with less timing because there is too much fuel. It leans out some when more timing is added (more time to burn). His truck is one of those trucks that do not like timing.
