Bikes are just crazy, ive read about the NLR bike but it has nothing on this one.

Eric Teboul's peroxide propelled rocket. After planning to `only' run an eighth mile, he clicked it off between that point and the 1000 ft mark, and despite `only' running 178.85 mph on the quarter, the ET was 6.196! But more staggering were the eighth mile numbers - 3.927 @ 207.59 mph! I believe this bike also ran a 5 in the 1/4th sometime later.

The 1st way is to challange him from a 60 mph roll. (I've taken a gsxr 1000 this way with my L up to about 120)
What'd he do, forget to downshift?

That's the only way a lot of us lose to half way fast cars. A gixxer 1000???? Come on man.

Agreed. Well over half of the riders out there cant push there bikes to the limit. I have beaten a GSXR 750 in my WS6 ,and I have to admit it was because the bike rider didnt know what he was doing. But my friend who is an experienced rider pulls me hard all the time on his R6.

This I've got to see...

I got news for you, busa's are notas special as everyone thinks they are. There to big and bulky and everyone thinks there the shiet cause they got 1300cc's????? there still not the quickest bike on the planet :devil

Here's the link to my buddies site, ask for shane McCoy when you call and he'll give you the low down on his new bike. www.tobefast.com The new 04 R1 motor is putting out 171 HP at the rear wheel with just a exhaust and power commander as mods.

Everyone put your boots on!!!!!!

I'll race anyone's Gen2 L with my R1 and blow your doors off just to prove a point around here cause some of you seem to think that your whacking bikes left and right with your cars, LOL!

And as for that 60 MPH rolling race, damn thats when my 2nd gear power band is just kicking in so I'll have to stand it up on one wheel and blow your doors off just to make a point.

Power to weight is about 4:1 on the bike. Once he hooks up it's bye-bye Lightning. Your friend should stick to trashing ricers who think "type R" stickers add 30 hp ... it's got to be a lot more fun.

Ahhhh, here we go again... Let me know what bike currently available is quicker than a 'Busa. Last I checked, they consistently run high 9's when the bike rags test them...the lastest liter bikes are running low 10's. So unless you know of a quicker production bike I'd have to say the 'Busa is still it. Granted, it's not going to run the curves like a 385 lb. liter bike, but it wasn't meant to. Also, when was the last time you had an R1 up to 180+? They're not the most stable bike at that speed...

And the infamous 171 hp R1/ZX-10...yada, yada, yada. You're telling me a pipe and a map bumped the hp on an R1 almost 20hp??? Not a fuggin' chance! Most of the new liter bikes are putting down between 150 and 155hp, so this guy's either full of shyte or he's got an awfully friendly dyno. I'd love to see a before and after dyno post for this killer R1, but alas there isn't one to be found on the web site. And let me know when you come across a legitimate 385 rwhp R1...it would be the first, while there are hundreds of turbo 'Busas pushing upwards of 350 and oftentimes 400 hp.

Just another run of the mill turbo 'Busa...it's only got a map and a pipe on it!

Its people like you that always want video's and proof of numbers cause you never believe shiet! :devil There's plenty of 04R1's with that setup running 171 hp at the rear wheel and all they have done is full graves exhaust and custom dynotune. But nomatter what I say or show you its going to be complete B.S. so take it for what its worth. call up chuck graves if you don't beleive me, he's the one who tuned the bike in the first place.

And as for the 385 HP turbo kit, well don't worry cause it will be out and available for the general public soon enough.

P.S. pretty much every liter bike built this year is running 9's in the quarter.
1/4 mile:
Honda Cbr 1000rr 10.16 @ 142.1
Kawasaki Zx-10r 9.92 @ 147.4
Suzuki Gsxr-1000 9.96 @ 144.7
Yamaha yzf-R1 9.93 @ 147.4

Proof of numbers...there's a novel concept. Come to think of it, you're absolutely right. If it's spewed on the Internet like so much verbal diarrhea I should take it for gospel. This is starting to sound like one of those I have a friend whose cousin's brother-in-law's mailman knew someone once....and on, ad nauseum. And call Chuck??? He's got no interest in selling exhausts or anything like that, does he? Everyone knows that a tuner has NEVER inflated the numbers that one of their products produces!

So, there isn't one is what you're saying here right? Or is it on double secret probation because they can't get the heat resistant tiles to stick to that pointy R1 nose, so it's not released to the public yet?

And didn't SportRider just pick the ZX-10 as their literbike of choice...looks like your R1 finished second last I checked. And let's see, we'll brandish some numbers for you too...

Motorcyclist May 2004 Yamaha R1 10.07@145.3, Kawasaki ZX-10R 10.06@145.3 and in that very same rag...

Suzuki GSX-1300R Hayabusa 9.88@143.88

That appears quicker to me by almost two tenths no less...even than the numbers you posted. Ball's in your court, Sporto! But who cares about proof since I'm sure that you know someone who knows someone who knows someone whose R1 ran a 4.19@3 million mph?

Ahhh, this playful banter is oftentimes sooooo amusing!

If I only cared enough to want to take the time to make you look like an a$$hole.

I almost hate to get involved in this, but I love my bike. I have to admit, many people see the Hayabusa logo on the side of the bike (and tattooed on my arm if I'm not wearing leathers) and just assume it's the baddest thing around by far. It's quick, but not much quicker than anything else out there; once you get under 10 seconds, does it really matter who is a couple of tenths this way or that? The Hayabusa is heavy, and a little harder to turn than a literbike, but it's a lot more comfortable to ride every day. Mine has the limiter taken off, so I can do almost 200 mph all day long; show me a Lightning that can do that. Show me another current production motorcycle in the Guinness Book. I love all motorcycles, but I chose the Busa. It's good to be the king.
