Got my Toyo Proxes S/T's today

Finally got some new tires. My f1's had wires coming out. I decided to go with the toyo's over the nittos 555 because of the longer tread wear. These tires are way to much so I wanted some with some life. I had to test them out. I kicked on them about 5mph and they spinned but where catching traction well. I didnt have any wheel hop. Hopefully the traction will get better with them. Not a bad over all tire.

I went with the stock size-295/45-18

I got mine from a tire place in town. I got them for 196.00 each. You could find a better deal on the net. I would have but the wires where sticking out so I had to do something quick.

Here on some places that I found from a post by MXRacer.

I run the 20 inch Toyo's on my 02 Denali. Great tire. I have 23,000 miles on them and they still have plenty of tread

I have had my Toyo's for about a year and they still really good thread left but I can't seem to get traction with them. I tired them at the track and the best i could make was a 13.4x becuase they kept spinning to long.

It was worse in the street I can't get any traction at all. I could spin them at any speed below 55 mph.

My Toyo's were only good for about two months then traction was history in them. Rotation didn't even help a bit.

Now with my drag Nitto's in back it a whole different story.

The pic on my sig I have Toyo's all around. .

They seemed to spin right now. If I start running into traction problems then I will buy a set of drag nittos and put the toyos up front.

BTW- How much psi where you running in them?

I have used them for 2yrs. now as my winter tires. They have more control in the snow! Not that anything does! LOL. Getting ready to put the f1's back for the summer. They seem to work better in the heat. Artie

I have about 23K on my four TOYOs. Never had good traction--never, but boy, are they quiet and smooooooth! 'Purty' tread pattern too.

I kept my back Toyo's all the time at around 25 psi. That is what I have on my Drag Nittos and they rock.

I can only spin my Drag Nitto's barely at 25 mph but it all depends on road conditions.

Other than that dem toyos will last a long time. I never had a flat with them or anything. They are good just for normal driving but not that good for traction.
