By the way, does anybody remember that video a few weeks ago, with the L and the H2? That hummer took the 1/4 mile and the lightning was just throwing away his rubber? Was that one of you guys!!!!!! Hate to say any names here... Don't really wanna start a fight!

Teee heee heee

Here's my 2 cents. The guy in the neon thought that whatever he had under the hood, was enough for a stock lightning.

Makes me wonder what they're cooking up.

I'm in San Antonio as well. Dunno what you drive .. guessing an (_SRT-4_is _FA5TAR_!!_n00b!_)
but if you've got an L, you should come out to one of the weekly Hooters meets.

*edit* even if you dont have a Lightning, you're more than welcome to show up (so no ricer jokes, ALAN!)

So by your theory, more power to the Stock Viper Cruising Detroit that whoops up on the Mustang with M Plates right ?

Have a nice day, the RedWings will prolly win the cup but they didnt look too good last night
Man,

It's not about the car. The car was a small part of it. Don't fixate on the car.......It was puting a DCX engineer in his place....Get it now? He was pissed and got a taste what a SVT product can do. The car he had wasn't a stock SRT-4. I could careless if you think it's worth braging about.

I know I'd like to hear others puting the smack on a DCX or GM engineer if they had the chance. Yeah, the wings didn't look so good. It's a veteran team with old talent. They needed time to rest up. Predators are still a young team learning. We'll take it in 5.

Mean? Me? I'm mean to throw a condescending attitude back at you? If I hurt your feelings, momy should have let you fall more often. Don't ask me to explain that one. You're on your own.

I can take just as much as I can give, If it was a engineering battle than I can understand. Although, IMO its expected you would beat the Neon, so I didnt understand what there was to brag about.

BigFan,

You never know what's under the hood of a test car. In the powertrain organization, we had a 01 Lincoln LS, V-8 supercharged with a 6 speed tremic. You wouldn't have been able to tell on the outside it had that under the hood.

We also had a two Lincoln LS's with 5.0 V-8 modular N/A motors with 6 speed tremecs. Ford was going after the Cadillac CTS and testing a few P/T options.

We also put a jaguar s/c 4.0L in a 02 T-bird. Talk about the right stuff. That's the P/T the T-bird should have received. This is why y you don't pass up a race with a test car. In my case the engineer was cool enough to give it a spin.

From being in P/T engineering myself, I don't underestimate a test car. The engineer will never get out of the car after the race and pop the hood to show you what you were running against.

Maybe that gives a little better understanding on impact the race I had. That guy is going to go back and tell the group he works in that what they have isn't enough to beat a Lightning. Maybe he was just sizeing up the car for future reference? That's what I would have done If I were him.

There was more on the line then just racing a 4 cyl.
