I guess all my low 1.6 60 ft., times on my stock converter leaving on the converter(1600) running low 12s was a fluke.

I was just trying to help. It seems from answering my questions the ONLY thing he did not change was the launch RPMs.

damn man that is a nice time, what size slicks where you running?? tire pressure, how much HP?? that is really good was it a low 6 or high or mid??

Track prep is huge too I know that, I hear them tracks you are at are awesome.

Our good one here where we had Lfest at, has said they are going rice which is the future and not track prepping anymore on the open nights...WE are quite upset!!!

They will be fine for Lfest, but the open run nights wont even be worth going

(sorry about that)

If I remember right you were looking at Lakewoods, perhaps they are too far from the leaf spring.
I heard lakewoods are junks. You need a traction bar that is 58's long.

I run the Hoosier QTPs 28x14.5x16 . I have run them from high 12s to 11.0s.

I had to go to a 30 inch tire for the 10s.

I had around 430 RWHP at the time and ran them with 16 lbs. I always did a Big Burnout and marked the tire for any slippage. Mostly mid 1.6s but I did have a few low 1.6s before I put the P.I. T.C. in.

Our local track is also doing No prep nights so the ricers do not break front axles. It Sucks.

JASON how are you doing man???? Jim sorry about your bad day at the track, but like everyone said it could be the tires, it could be the track... Who knows. It could be the chip. I say come out here to rt66. I was running constant 13.40's at us 41 and I put on a set of Drag Radials from Jeff (thanks again Jeff) and I got it down to 13.0. Then I went to rt 66 and ran 12.7 on f1's and 12.6 with the drag radials... Good luck getten back on track man.
