Thoughts on L as a Daily Driver?
I took out a classified ad today in my local newspaper - selling my daily driver the '95 F-150. If she goes great if not I will keep her.
Beginning to wonder - why not enjoy the L on a daily basis especially after all the work and money I have gone through to make her a true beast.
Question: Who is driving their L on a daily basis? and given both options which would you pick - L as a daily or have a seond vehicle as a daily?
Thanks for your opinions!

The first summer I had mine it was a daily. Even after the mods it was a fine DD.
Winters up here are harsh on cars and so are the native Michigan drivers.
So I parked it and just keep er as a toy now.

if there isnt snow on the ground, my L is being driven. I have driven it every day just about including in the snow last year for a lil more than a year. I think its the best thing in the world, best combo of speed/performance and ride comfort. only thing I suggest is that if you live in an area with snow as a common thing, just get something cheap to beat on then.

I drive mine daily when the weather is nice. Drove it in the rain last year. No snow.
This year, since I put 27K on her in a year an a half, I will drive my 86 Olds Cutlass (with 40K original miles) on crappy days.

Daily driven, rain,snow and sleet(no I'm not a mailman
)
I put 50miles a day on it Mon - Fri. I run low 8's in the 1\8th. I get 300 miles to a tank of gas. I wouldn't want it any other way.
Driving my L is something I look forward to.

Mines a daily driver. Like you, I'm in Florida, so it's driven year round. However, if gas prices keep going the way they are, I might buy a motorcycle to ride a couple of days a week.

How do you like that hood? How does it fit?
I'm hoping to be getting one in the next few weeks through a group purchase over on the NLOC website.
Both times I've owned one it was the only vehicle I had. Weather was never a problem here (and wouldn't be for you either). It's perfectly fine as a DD. What's the point of having a vehicle if you don't drive it? It does fine in the rain if, as with any vehicle, you don't do dsomething stupid.
That's what I bought it for. If I lived where there was snow for a significant part of the year, I might would have a winter beater. Other than that, I bought it to employ and enjoy.
I've always admired people who have loyalty. Maybe it's the guy that drives his pickup to chuch even though he has a Lexus. Or the guy that rides his motorcycle even when it's raining. Or the guy with an unreliable British sportscar that suffers being left on the side of the road again. They drive their vehicles daily, and are in tune with it. If it has a hiccup, they know about it. These people are the heart of the auto enthusiast movement, and are what builds respect for a marque. Not everyone understands this mentality, and that's OK; as long as they respect my point of view, I'll respect theirs.

My 99 has been a daily driver since new. I have about 101K miles on her now and she is still going strong. So if I was in the same situation as you I would choose to drive the L eventhough I had another truck.

I did drive it in the snow a few times but I had 400 pounds of sand in the bed so that help.
I just love this truck!
