heres what I found. I climbed underneath and looked everything over all wires were perfect nothing close, rubbed or burnt. I replaced the 15a fuse cleared the codes and started up and everything was ok again. took her out shifted fine. Got on it wot let off just as it shifted into 2nd and the fuse blew again. I replaced the fuse drove some more no problem. any thoughts on why the fuse would blow at that point This was probably the same thing I may have done before. I'd hate to have this happen trying to run somebody I'd get kicked for sure. could the o2 sensors be picking-up burnoff from the new muffler causing them to short. the magnaflow stinks to high heaven right now

One major clue for me was that at the end of the 1-2 shift (I believe this is also where your truck had the prob) my tach read 58-5900rpm. Did you happen to notice what your truck was shifting at?
My truck is doing this same thing. I got on it leaving work one day and the engine red-lined before it shifted from 1st - 2nd. Scared the bejeezus out of me. Since that day I have felt a loss in power. My blower still whines and the boost gauge maxes out at 10lbs with moderate acceleration. I still have quick starts with my first shift too close to redline but if I step on it @ 40-50 mph, it doesn't take off like it used to. Shifting doesn't seem quite right either but I don't have any warning lights lighting up like the check engine light.. I am still running a stock truck with a FTVB on its way. I did just install the boost bypass kit but no luck. I hope this is an easy fix!!

I'm sure I wasn't near redline. I already have ftvb in place. I have to presume this problem has something to do with the magnaflow. I have run the L as hard or harder prior to the exhaust with no problem. The only reason I suspected the ftvb was due the tranny being stuck in 3rd. After replacing the fuse it shifts fine the power is back. not sure what the problem was or if its still hiding I do know my wiring is fine though

couple of questions, as I just went through this. Did you install the boost bypass mod before or after your truck started acting this way? Also, are you running a chip, and if so, whose? (I did the FTVB first, and that's not what fixed the prob)

Amp, thanks for responding. I installed the boost bypass mod after this started happening. Other than the boost bypass, I am completely stock with no chip. The truck still flies off the start, it is when I get on it at higher speeds that I feel lag. I am planning on purchasing an air filter kit, FTVB, predator, and Magnaflow catback... Perhaps sooner than I had anticipated.

I have the exact same problem with mine..The dealer replaced my blower and intercooler because they cannot figure out why I am loosing power. The truck used to see around 13psi not i bearly get 8. The dealer thought that it was the convertor, but not 100 percent sure. The truck has a 4lb t/b jdm chip, and 90mm maf this is a 00 truck. The truck is data logged and shows no problems has perfect vacume. I also notice in the 40-50mph area if u give it gas u have to floor it to downshift and it bearly moves! any ideas is there a way to put a vacume pump on the waste gate? thanks

Guys, I really don't know about your trucks (especially the stock one). all I can say is that I tried a few things, and in the end it was 1 bad computer chip. currently running predator w/ custom tune from Sal, and the engine is running stronger than ever.

If you have any more questions, I can tell you about my exp, but that's it. good luck

Yeah, good advice. I am going to have someone take a look at it. Better safe than sorry before I start the mods. Thanks for your help!

I have had my chip on my truck for over a year, can a chip just go randomly bad? Is there anyway a tuner can check out if a chip is bad?

Happened to me, and I'm always cautious to disconnect the battery, and leave the keys far, far away. (Now I even wear a rubber glove when handling it). Tuner said to send it in... they'll be able to check it, and will def. know if it's bad.

It was just a freak thing, but it happened, and I'm lucky I didn't cause serious engine damage because of it.
I since bought a Predator, hoping that it will be easier to keep tabs on what it going on, rather than just looking to see if a chip is loose or dirty, and only wondering.

okay, i'm having the same problem

put on my ftvb 2 days ago, didnt seem to be a problem, didn't get on it super hard, but decent and no problems,

had my exhaust put on today, and loaded an x2 program and now it keeps blowing that 15 amp fuse, at normal driving it is fine, but at WOT, it keeps popping it.

any ideas from anyone?

for me it turned out to be one of the 2 rear 02 sensors, not sure which one, but we unplugged them and it quit blowing fuses, and because they are unneeded anyway, we left them out
