Any NMRA Results yet
They had first round qualifing today, and there is more qualifing tomorow. So until tomorow is over it will be hard to get any real results.
I also heard Johnny had some electrical problems, but that he has them solved now. I heard the problem happened in the test and tune runs today, and he missed the first round. I don't know why Johnny is trying to run a 10 second run in a bracket racing event. If he detuned his truck to run high 11's he would have a much better chance of winning the event.
I heard there were only 13 trucks.
When I talked to JR and PG they had left the track, and were allready on there 2nd beer.

For once I agree with JJ. I don't understand why people detune their trucks. I understand if you are running at a track where you don't meet the guidlines, but if you have a cage and all there should be no reason to detune 2 seconds.

When I run my high boost setup my times can vary up to 2 - 1/10th of a second.
On saturday when I ran my street program last weekend in Orlando all my runs were within 3 - 1/100th of a second.
Also running less boost I have less of a chance to loose traction off the line. Remember when your bracket racing it doesn't pay to be fast, it pays to be consistant.

but their were 14 trucks that qualified 1st round. not including jlp and not everyone gets there on friday either.
i agree that you need to be consistent but i dont agree with detuning the truck more than 5 tenths. that should be enough to be consistent.
not meant to flame.

During test and tune for JL in Bradenton NMRA he ran a 10.88 he missed first round of qualifying, 2nd round qualifying he went 11.60. 3rd round has not happened yet. As for the trucks at fun ford we had 27 Lightnings and 6 other ford trucks. The only Lightning vendors there was JDM and REM. In NMRA you have JL, Tommy Lightning, REM, and Amazon Racing. So I think we did pretty good at Fun Ford. All of the Fun Ford races have a large amount of Lightning turnout, in fact last year we were bigger than their Mod Motor class. Thats why Ford has given us a Truck to give away this year.

For Johnny, I think 10.80 is detuned if he gets a decent launch. He is running 18psi, maybe a little less, with hardly any timing. His a/f is way rich. His truck is going to be nasty when he let's it loose.
