Any NMRA Results yet
Johnny went out in the first round.
I also went out in the first round after coasting thru the traps(foot off the gas a little before the 1000') with my personal best of a 12.49 on my 12.60 index.
I like racing the truck at both FFW and NMRA and there are pros and cons to each series.I am however already getting tired of letting out of the gas.Out of 15 passes the past two weeekends I've only got to run the truck all out three times.(test shots)
Not my idea of racing really but I guess thats how the game works in a bracket race.

I was honestly thanking you for posting that list.
Your comments regarding my local tuner are off topic and not needed, they are also very inmature and an obvious attempt to stir the pot.
Here is an idea Doug, abide by your own rules for once why dont you?
Rumors are exactly that Doug, rumors. Mostly started by childish individuals with nothing better to do or in this case started by individuals that have no lives and believe everything they are told.
And just so you know, he hears these hilarious rumors all the time and just laughs.
Thanks again for posting the list Doug, I really do appreciate it.

The information I posted isn’t a rumor. It is fact as reported to me by the Admins at NLOC. Whether JJ really signed up at Nloc again or not isn’t important, what is important is that the Admins at NLOC are convinced he did. You and I ( and the admins at NLOC ) all know he has a long history of that kind of activity...
With your history of lying and JJ's history - I am defiantly inclined to believe the admins at NLOC before believing either of you...
I’m not trying to stir any pot - just trying to remind you and the members of the kind of stuff that JJ continues to do. Of course he will deny it - Just like you denied posting email he sent you.
Continuing to sign up at a forum where you have been banned multiple times. Now that’s immature....

Griffey, I'm alittle confused? If your truck is capable of running 12.49 coasting through the traps, why did you qualify at 12.70??
You had several qualifiers to try to run your best, then they take a tenth off so that you wont break-out during elims..
Sounds like you need alittle practice with the truck..
I ran at FFW Orlando, and I got to practice in the Quick Ford class asswell as the open time trials we had for two hours Saturday morning.
It's all about knowing what your truck can run and then qualifying close to your best so that when they take off a tenth you can still run near that number without breaking-out..
Sounds like you had some bad qualifying runs, that is not anyone's fault but your own, not a slam, but don't blame the rules..we all have to go by them!!
Which truck do you have, just wondering if we met at FFW??
I have the Black Lightning with the really small skinnies on it.

No slam taken...
..People are just so senesitive now a days..LOL
No I don't know the truck very well yet.Orlando was the first time I made passes in it so I am learning.I don't remember your truck in particular, but I had the silver one with billet grille,et streets on the rear, and stock chrome 18's on the front.
The fastest pass I made in orlando running the truck out on a test pass was a 12.63.So I was trying to qualify there around a 70 to a 75.I wound up with 78 in qualifying. It is very hard to tell seat of the pants a tenth but I was okay with the time.
So anyways the fastest the truck had ever gone was a .63.
In Bradenton I only got 1 test shot before qualifying. The truck ran a .72 with a little less mph then orlando. So naturally I figured I would want to qualify with a .70 to a .75 again based on what the fastest pass the truck had made yet.I wound up running a .70 in qualifying at only 93 mph so I knew the truck was running a little bit faster and my 60' foots were getting better and more consistent. So I felt that it was posssible I could run faster then .60 but felt somewhat "safe" there.
OOPS
12.49 letting out.Wish I would have scrubbed the brakes now but it's to late for that..
..I thought I qualified where I wanted too or close as I was willing to risk.Seat time will certainly help as I've never bracket raced before now.I've only heads up raced in FFW in Street Bandit and Street Renegade before, and am hence a newbee with a little bit to learn. The shame is wasting a good light. That's why I figured I was out on him so good...not that the truck was actually going that fast.

When you enter a series like FFW or NMRA, your not there to show off and push the truck to it's fastest possible ET. Your there to win the event or go as many rounds as possible. It is a bracket and points event. If you get elliminated in the first round every event all you have done is waisted a lot of money. When you figure out the price of admission, fuel costs and hotels it can get real expensive.
We all know that all the tuners can make their trucks go fast. I think it is also good to see a tuner take a 10 second truck, detune it and win(or allmost win) the event. To me this shows that their trucks can do more than just go fast.
fomocofan and I went to the ohio event last year and we both made it into the semi finals where he knocked me out of the event by less than a fender. We then went to orlando last weekend where he ended up 3rd and I ended up 5th. The run I lost was so close I didn't know who won the race when we crossed the finish line. I had a chance to win that race, and if I had been a little smarter I could have won that race. Jim ended up finishing in 2nd place also loosing by less than a fender in the final round.
We both earned a good amount of points, and are now considering do more events. To me that is awesome racing, and are what these events are all about.
At a race I typically try to decide
Do I want to try for a personal best ?
or try to win the bracket race.
In my truck with my skills they approaches are completely different.
If the track is NOT hooking well I usually try to go raounds - which I rarely do
IF the track is Hooking - and my truck has a chance to post a PB I try to rip off a killer run.. 2 completely different approaches to burnout, stage, launch and finish line.....
