For the Married guys.
This is the way I did it. Tell her its your dream vehicle. Its the only truck you have ever wanted. Tell her it will be a "FAMILY" vehicle. We need a family vehicle like this cause you can go to HOME DEPOT and throw 20 bags of mulch in it. Then trade her something for it like JEWLERY!!!!! It might take some good LOVIN for a few days but she will eventually give in!! It work for me!!!! Oh and tell her you would never mod it cause its fast enough, that worked till my first mod.......chip filter, pulley....etc. Now shes mad a me but its too late to take it back!!!!!!!

The wife is getting something she wants at the end of the year when it comes out. BTW, I will be heading to Iraq to make the big money for that purchase. I don't think I'm asking too much.

I bought my 2003 on Valentines Day/ Our 5th Anniversary. Needless to say, after spending 6 hours at the dealership, and bringing home a 33K truck that I didn't tell her I was getting. She wasn't in the best of moods. LOL She is fine with it now, and she is going out Monday to trade in her 2001 Focus for a new car. I pay for my stuff, she pays for hers so we are just going to leave it that way. LOL

Let’s get something straight here there is NOTHING wrong with “asking” your wife permission to buy a 33k truck, which is called being a REAL MAN…
Those who may think its un-cool or the wuss thing to do is because that’s what their buddies tell them and thus since they follow the crowd and what their buddies say they are boys waiting to grow up to be a REAL MAN.
For those that think the “man” should be able to go out and buy a 33k truck without asking would it be ok for you wife to go out and do the same? If she has a job then what’s the difference?
I am willing to bet some BIG money that someone that states they don’t have to ask their wife for a 33k truck would throw a major fit if their wife drove home with a 33k diamond ring on her finger…
I am divorced and have my daughter and I am now able to afford a Lightning, but I will tell you this if I had been married it would have been a decision made by me and the person I was married to because that is the right way and the real man way of doing things…
Real men do what “they” think is right…
Boys just follow the crowd and do what their buddies think is cool or right…
WantALight, you do what “YOU” think is right…

I wanted to trade the wife's 92 Benz on a Lexus for her. She said it wasn't really necessary, but I told her I wanted her in the safest car possible. She got the Lexus.
By the same token, If I wanted to trade my 03 XLT for a lightning, I would ask her first, thing is, I am very happy with the f150. I'm sure if I wanted one, I would get it, but only with her concurance.
