on my 93 camaro i couldn't be happier with the bfg dragradials. They get the worst tread life you could immagine. If you are going to use them for everyday driving i would have to say the nittos. On a 275/60/15 my stock heads, stock cam, no poweradder went about 50 1.70 60' and 1 1.69 60'.

BFG doesnt make anything for our trucks. If your going with a 16 inch rim, BFGs always hook better but Nitto are a better all around tire otherwise. BFGs are like Slicks in the rain and expect them to last less than 10000 miles on easy driving.

HI!

First, hope you are enjoying your new ride !!! Have you thought about changing your plugs yet?

As for the tires I just bought a pair of Nitto 555R's for the back and 555 for the front. For the rears I had to go with a 305 tire size. I checked everywhere, and they were the only makers that provided somewhat of a "street slick" tire for our trucks.

I haven't tried them out yet, since I am waiting for a dyno time to make sure everything is ok with my new engine. But as soon as I do I will let you know how they are.

bfg drag radials aren't bad at all in the rain.. I drove all last summer on them rain or shine with no problems whatsoever. I would kill to get 10k miles out of a set.. i think i got about 1500 mils out of my last set. For my truck i would get the nitto's though.

Nittos were made for the Lightning, and I have never seen a BFG for the Lightning. BFGs are much better at the track, but the Nittos are better all around tires. Saying that, I can also say that Nittos will get you some great 60fts, you just have to know how to use them. Check my sig for times and all I have run are Nittos.

I have run both nitto DR & BFG DR while I still had stock boost. BFG DR 13.25 ET, I destroyed them in about 30 runs. NITTO DR 13.19 ET., They have been my rear tires on street ever since I went to a 6#lower, and Hoosiers at track, 2 yrs and still look good.

I've also have had both, and I say Nitto DR by a long shot. Look better, hook better, I have no issues in the rain.

The BFG 295/35R18 drag radials really aren't truck tires. They will look silly, like rubber bands on a truck.

They are made more for cars, especially ricers that use the rubber band tires.

Definately go with the Nittos.
