remove your rod caps and make sure that the machined surfaces and the back of the rod bearing halves are free of any dirt and oil.
now insert your bearings into their new homes on each rod and end cap. make sure the tabs are aligned on each bearing!
jumping to the other end of the rod (sortof) meet your next challenge! SPIROLOCKS! they are going to handle the task of holding your wrist pin and piston onto the small end of your connecting rod. these things could make the pope say bad words. actually they are not that bad. after you do the first few sets, it gets easier. this may be due to the fact that your fingertips are bleeding from working with them thus providing a little extra lubrication? j/k

I found it easiest to "stretch" them out a little bit. slinky style and then sort of screw or thread them into their grooves in the piston.
you install TWO of them on each end of the wrist pin. I choose to install them into one side of the piston BEFORE installing the pin and rod like this:
make sure they are fully seated in their grooves and then you can insert the rod and pin through the other side .
(note: this picture was taken earlier and the spirolocks are not yet installed):

(svtdvm: thanks!)
now hold the rod in the center of the piston and then slide the wrist pin through the un spirolocked side of the piston, through the small end of the rod, and then into the s'locked side.
you can now install two spirolocks into the opposite side of the piston.
now do the same prodedure 7 more times and you've got these:
