I'll share a story with you that may help. My truck was hanging at 12.0x's for about 2 months. I had a line lock put on it by our local tuner. After doing the line lock, he took it for a test drive. He noticed my shifting sucked. I really did not think about it as it had been shifting that way since I put the tranny in. It was a monster box. It was "slide shifting" as he put it. I got in touch with Greg and he sent me a valve body and accumulator to put in it.

The fix worked. My truck hit every gear hard and fast. The very next trip to the track I knocked 2 tenth's off my E.T.

Point of this story is that the problem may be in your shifting or tranny. Even if the truck seems to be running strong.

Shift points can also affect your E.T.'s. Sometimes it seems as though we all make way more of the H.P. than we should. Alot of factors other than H.P. go into good track times.

Sorry about the "Rob" style post....I'll keep it shorter next time.

What's up Jeff? How have you been? Why wasn't your times on the 2nd run any better with the 1.67 60 foot time? You'd think that'd at least bring you down to a 12.05 or so. Is that your best 60 foot? Jim its hard to say what rwhp you need for an 11. You can see it's different for every truck/track. Some have went 11's with less hp, some are still in the 12's with more. I say give it a go. Good luck man.

My BAD

Got home from a Daytona party this morning. Slept a few and discovered this......................

Went out today, on a nice sunny 27 degree day. The Lightning felt very night. Decided to swing by the NJ Turnpike for a 45 to-a-*****-tighting whatever.

Well, I broke every law known to mankind. But it sure felt REAAAAAAAAAAL GOOD. This bastard pulls way harder than I thought was possible thru an Eaton. This new Apten porting , with my new JDM tune rocks, Rocks!..........hehe

Rob02 keeps telling me to BE AFRAID...........and he's flucking right!

This new tune with the Apten Porting has got me AFRAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should have let me know you were coming down here. I would have gotten off work, and brought the Focus. (under powered rental)

PS: Tell Chad to get to work. I want a new motor.

I am planning to hit the track Friday night this week. Then I am going to hit a different track Saturday morning. Between the two, I should have a good idea of what kind of ET improvement I will get from the Apten.

I will resist the temptation to get in the middle of you and Rob...LOL. It looks dangerous in there.
