running 11's with under 430hp on a stock Torque convertor?

That is DAYUM hard for me to believe.

SOAP,
this spring I might have you take my truck down the track once or twice. I should be about 430'ish rwhp and 51x-52x rw TRQ.

Several guys on here are pulling 1.6x 60'fts on stock converter (Rob_02 for example), so I think it is quite possible. I could gain 4 tenths just from slicks knocking it down from a high 1.8 to a 1.6.

agreed that is why I bought SLICKS, and the best traction(lift) bars out there.
I should be at least in the mid 12's, if not low 12's, but knowing the crappy conditions of the tracks up here (except stanton) I won't get there.

I have a video of me spinning down the track (smoking the tires) all the way through first and 1/2 way through 2nd. Dayum truck was sideways down the track. Of course that was at Milan raceway

Yes...it can be done on 440 H.P. The trick is in the 60 ft.

check my sig. I just need better 60 fts.

I think slicks are worth very little without a converter to match.

just my .02

One more thing I will add. The track you run at can be a big factor also. We have 2 tracks within 150 miles of each other here.

I consistently run about a tenth quicker and about 1mph faster at one over the other.

They have a good track in Houston also. I beat my best by .15 when I went there in April last year...and it was 20 degrees warmer when it happened.

There is also a quick track the northern boyzz get some of their bests at, but I can't think of the name of it.

I ran an 11.99 @ 111 with a 1.67 60ft and 415 rwhp and 538 rwtrq corrected this winter. I had a 6/2 pulley combo. Hope this helps!

My best time before slicks was a 13.5, running constant 13.6's spinning on a stock converter. With the addition of slicks and the same mods, I ran a best of 13.19 @102, 1.84 60', and consistant 13.3's. My mods are 2# upper, magnaflow mufflers (lost low end torque), and LFP 12" filter (probably hurt me), with Lakewoods. So there's .3 - .4 with just slicks with mild mods. I would think it would be as good and a little better being a more modded truck.

Possible 11's

I'm running 395rwhp and 492rwtq best 12.29@112.43 with1.72 60' lost 300lbs over winter and improved aero and suspension. I think 11.90's possible. My whole goal is to get the very best I can get with what I got. And then go nuts with turbo set up and skip the 10's. All it takes is $$$$$. Ed
