I am over 50 and have 5 licensed vehicles. My job allows me to bring home a powerstroke. Those cold morning starts are noisey and smokey.
Out of all my toys guess which one I still go to first if I have clean duds on. (LIGHTNING)
It drives the smoothest on these rotten roads that keep getting worse (road tax??) Handles like a Porsche, Pulls harder than the Powerstroke, looks coooool, easy to step in and out of. (like you said).
I am impatient by nature and when I see a chance to pass someone I want to do it NOW!!!! (that makes it safer)
Just get the Lightning and run it for a while. You don't have to race it or mod it to enjoy it.

MARC,
I hope you aren't as unfortunate as me. it sounds like you are off to a bad start. Like I have always done just take the truck out and do a endurance test on it. Hold the pedal to the mat until you chicken out, get scared, see Jesus or your motor sweet surrenders. If you chicken out the truck wins
. I wanted to get your atten before you left that da as i wanted to go find a bare road and run ya. It turns out my bucket of bolts stayed another 4 hours as they found something else bustedOk, Ok
The rest of you convinced me I'am not to old for a lightning, I will pick up the DSG one next week. You all win

Damn 28 you are old . Does salt and pepper cause gas yet?Can you still read street signs? Are you wearing those little little glasses that look like magnifiers?
Did you see Elvis in concert?Do you refer to the 50s as the good ole' days? Do you still have that grade school picture of yourself w/ the flatop haircut and poindexter glasses?
If you answered no to more than one of these questions you are not old!
Now go get that darn 04' L

I think that is the perfect age to buy lighting. I know that I am 29 and still don’t think I am ready for lighting. I drive the truck I have now like a racecar. If I had lighting I could only imagine the trouble I would get in or my ins costs.
