The '04 is exactly the same as the '03 with the exception of a color addition. They added silver metalic to the color list. I own an '03, and have a brand new '04 sitting in front of the dealership right now. SAME SAME

That wouldn't happen to be MY brand new Lightning sitting out front, would it?

The radio in mine had a high pitch whine from the cooling fan, they replaced it and thats fine now, although both radios have very bad reception, lots of static. They are ordering me another one to put in.

No other problems as of today, I just can't seem to keep gas in the darn thing
2003 with the same radio problems. An Alpine cda-9813 fixed that though. LOL.

AMO

The whine in the radio is caused by the cooling fan on the radio's amplifier, this is common to the 6 disc changer model.
Ford or at least my dealer knows of the problem and replaced mine, but I still get crapy reception.

Looks like an Alpine is in the future.

Thanks for the reply guys.... It looks like Ford did a pretty good job with the 03 and 04 L.
