I don't know if this will help, but my truck wouldn't start after I put my Apten on yesterday. The truck would crank, but wouldn't fire. I pulled out the predator to see if there were any codes, and there was something about a theft code.

I was using my spare key, so I figured there might be something wrong with it. I cleared the code and tryed my primary key and the truck fired right up.

Turns out that my spare key is not programed right for the Pats.

Why would you have to re-program a key after changing S/C's ??

Anyone else have problems ???? I'll be doing this Mod soon,
and don't want any hidden problems that can be avoided.

The truck has to go. It should take about 30 minutes to do.

Since your theft light is blinking fast when you try to start, (you did say it would crank but not start), the pats/theft have been tripped somehow. I tripped mine when I had a lose fuse under the hood. Had to have it flatbedded to the dealer.

I don't think there are any hidden problems. My spare key was bad, and was most likely not programmed right from the dealership.

does the motor try to fire? Did you check to see that all of the wires were reconnected?

Did you have the key in the ignition when you disconnected the battery?

I think thats what caused your problem. Try this...Put your key in the ignition and turn it to the on position leave it there for about thirty seconds. Turn it off, pull the key out, then reinsert and try to start.

Going out to take picture now of the vacuum setup. Some guys have had trouble starting their engine because they forgot to hook one of the vacuum lines up also. Hopefully a picture will help you out...
