That sucker looks like it went leaner than 13.5 before that run was over ?

Brian, AWESOME Numbers

10's should be no Prob with that Power

Nice Numbers Brian,

Hope I make it out that way to get to race with you again this year. Kudos to the JDM staff again too.

We made 590 horsepower on 15 pounds of boost and the air fuel ratio was in the mid 11's. Brian has that dyno sheet. We usually can't hit 600 RWHP to about 18 pounds of boost. Brian has a new combination we are working on and it has picked up 30-40 RWHP across the powerband. So, on the last pull we opened up the dyno doors, turned on the big fan and let the room become about 45 degrees. When we started the truck up the A/F sensor was not warmed up enough for it to read properly. I did not let it warm up because I didn't want the engine to get too hot. We just wanted to see if it could make 600 RWHP on 15 pounds of boost. Brain is coming back up in two weeks for our new JDM Powerpipe and than we are going to crank it up to 20 pounds of boost and see what happens. Have fun with your new hot rod Brian!

Part one;

It takes a total of 10 seconds for the A/F sensor to warm up and be ready to sample.(takes longer than that just to get it to third gear for the pull) If for some reason it isnt warmed up or has a problem, it Wont read at all. If your getting readings, its warmed up and reading correctly.(Dont believe me? Call 1-800-992-4993 and ask for Tech assistance)

Dont worry though Brian, it may be running really lean, but it wont melt your converters.

Part two;
It was stated that the KB in question was a loaner, so who knows how many miles or dyno pulls it had on it when it supposedly failed.(or maybe it was brand new, or from another truck?) With that said, it sure seems like alot of the KB failures are coming from the installation shop that will be in direct competition with KB once their yet to be realeased blower comes out.

Nice Dyno numbers anyway.

Those are some awesome numbers. I'm just hoping to hit the 400 mark, and your L is pulling 600+

Grey03,

I'll invite you down and we could put your truck on the dyno and let you do it the same way. I have three of the best air/fuel meters in the world (Horeiba). They have a 20 second countdown and depending on how cold the exhaust pipes are they can take longer. The hotter the pipes are the hotter the gas charge out of the engine thus better the sample and that is on any system out their. You are a bonified ****head. I suppose you have a dyno and you do this type of testing all the time. For $7500.00 I will sell you one of my Horeiba's than you can print facts instead of your 1-800 numbers.

I'm not doubting that you have a Horiba A/F monitor Jim, but the A/F reading on the dyno sheets came from the A/F sensor that came with the Dynojet, but I am sure you know that.

From Dynojet Tech Assistance;

the sensor has an internal heater and the dyno electronics will not report A/F until it's fully warmed up. If there was a reading on the screen, then the sensor was warmed up
The 800 number was for Dynojet tech assistance if you havent already figured that out.

You crack me up Jim, really.
