IT doesn't really affect the valve body at all, and I've never considered what leaving it in may do to a modified motor, especially one with NO2, that's something to consider. BUt if you're running giggle juice on a stock tranny, or even one with an accumulator modified, you'll have problems someday anyhow.
My torque reduction is still on, I drive around it, which you can do with some practice.
