So I'm driving home and behind me I see a red ranger with a hood scoop, I don't really think too much about it untill i go at the light, pull ahead and he gets beside me. I see a chrome "thunderbolt" ensigna with a yellow lightning bolt below it on his fender (alot like ours). He hits it and so do I, I pull ahead of him by about 1/2 a car length by the next light (about a block). He was pretty quick but I got him. But he tuned off before I could ask him what he was driving.

any of you ever heard of this? I did a search but all I could find is a old ford fairlane modified and they called it the thunderbolt.

 

I saw a white one about 6 months ago in St. Augustine, FL.
We were eyeballing each other but traffic was too heavy to do any playing. It's probably just a 4.0L with maybe a suspension package and some graphics, but I'm not sure.

 

I think you should have got more than a half a link. They are supposed to be SLP tuned. Not much though!!!

I know the truck your talking about. One of the SVT dealers on LI (McCarrville) sell it too. From what I heard about it, its a Specialty vehicle created by teaming with SLP. I was told theres nothing really special about it performance wise, and is mostly an appearence package like the Boss 5.4...I believe it comes with the body cladding, intake, and exhaust but I guess it may have a lil more.

we were only on the gas for about 2-3 seconds, then we had to let off. if i would have had some more room i coulda took off on him, i barely had time to downshift.
