Thunderbolt
Unlike the modern candya$$ version, the original Thunderbolt was an early Sixties Fairlane that was stuffed with a 427 cube big block that had dual four barrel carbs, ultra high compression pistons, and a super light front end. No radio, heat, or anything that resembled comfort features and a tag in the glove box telling you that this car was not street legal. The head lights were actually air scoops that flowed cool air to a special air box that sat atop the 500 plus horsepower engine that propelled this dragstrip only demon to low 12 second and high 11 second trips down the 1320. There are only a handfull of these ultra limited production vehicles left in the world, probably worth a fortune and well worth it, John H.
P.S. Remember that this car ran these times on tires that were nowhere near as technologically advanced as what is available at the present time.
