Apten or REM ported blower
Waste your money if you want, but REM and Apten port the same thing. My dyno sheet was posted over at SVTperformance.com and it was deleted after the Apten followers got pissed off I posted it. My power numbers were throughout the powerband. Derek(SVTBlackbolt) helped me install it and was there when it was dynoed. As I have said before, Apten didn't re-invent the wheel, all they did was port the S/C. REM just followed their lead and is offering it cheaper....
I understand your reasoning though

The reason REM hasn't posted pics is because I was in such a hurry to install it I took it and failed to let them take pics. I can assure you it looks EXACTLY like Aptens. When I have time I will take off my T/B and take the inlet pics for you guys. The work was top notch
And I an by no means a REM cheerleader. They had the best price

Your not just talking upper plenum or as it's called throttlebody spacer are you? I have seen the inlet and outlet of the Apten. I have said before if ANYONE can send me a picture of the REM outlet then I will give a
I am not sure, but I think REM ports the blowers by hand, while Apten uses a machine and this is why there is a cost difference.
All I can say is I ported the entire inside of my blower and plenum myself and noticed a huge difference over my stock unported blower.
I was hitting 13lbs of boost with just a 2lb lower and the graphite rotor pack.
Holes in case are welded shut also.

Porting is Porting you will almost always see a gain no matter who ports it.
REM or Apten....both have made gains so whats the difference
By the way neither of these two companies where the first to do it.

I would love to see the REM vs. Apten side by side picture. JimIII is right this is not a new idea, Apten just seemed to be the one right out the gate. REM price is very attractive to me. I can't afford the KB and a built block. I'm trying to see what I can get out of bolt on's and stock part's on a stock block.
20 to 30 rear wheel horsepower for 300 bucks.....SOLD!
I would love to see dyno result's for th HD, with a list of all mods.

Let me guess JDM did it first

The difference in cost is probably due to how the port work is done. REM uses a hand grinder, Apten uses a half million dollar 5 axis CNC mill. When you buy from a machine shop you're paying for machine time, so the recent cost jump in the Apten is likely due to the extra port work they've started doing over their early port jobs. When they digitized their newer version, more than likely it required multiple more passes with the cutter and several different bits. That adds more machine time and hence higher cost.
