i started the year off with my L in dads garage in louisiana then got to take a 6 month cruise on a submarine. got back in june to pick up the truck, took it back with me to wash. state and ran my 1st ever 12 sec pass. then had to pack up a couple weeks later and transferred down to sunny cape canaveral florida. got settled down here and backed up the 12 sec runs with a 12.86 and a 12.92. all in all it was a good year for me. but hopefully 04 is gonna kick some a$$. ive got 18s, a 2/3 drop, speed grilles and a shaker hood waiting to go on. im also about to get certified to dive so that will open some doors for me. but good luck to everyone and i hope you all have an outstanding 2004. danny

This year wasnt to good for my L. One track atempt in 48* weather. 8.12 @ 89 mph 2.1 60ft on the race side and 110 octane mix. My goal for next year is an 7.99@??mph and i think when i get some new tires on this baby it will happen this JAN when the track opens. But in my real rcing next I hope to win a few races and more importantly win the Southern All Star points in my division and run a arca race or two. 04 is gonna be a fun year for me.

Well i cainstalled more pds then i intendednt complain about tis year at all.I installed more mods on the truck then expected, but in all actuallity i think thats the way it goes with everyone.I had the chnce to travel to 2 fun ford events(Virginia&NewHampshire). And even managed to run not 1 but 3 high 11 sec passes and with Atco sti9ll open im hoping to pull off a couple more. But all in all its all about all the new people i met.

Now as for the bad stuff well i did manage to get hit by a car...not all my fault though he did jump the curb to get to me.And i just found out i have kidney stones.Slightly painfull but better then a blown motor i guess.

As for next year well i have a couple of plans in work as for the truck but well see what happens with that.

Put around 5,000 miles on the truck! Started out somewhat driver, then daily, now haven't drove in about 4 weeks. Total of 20,xxx.

No new mods this WHOLE year. Well tires.

Sooo, Where to start...

This year in review....

Severed my ACL
Tore my MCL
Damaged 15% of my medial meniscus
Had knee reconstruction
6 Months Physical therapy and no painkillers due to allergies to medicines.

Missed ski trip that was planned for 6 months

Had my heart ripped out of my chest by one of the few women I have ever truly cared for.

Could not play sports all year, (knee), no wakeboarding, my jet ski with a brand new Mod Motor in it sat in my garage unused.

Took solace in the one thing I still had to care about, my truck, until some Biatch whom wasn't payin attention t-boned my baby and put her out of commission for 2 months.

Just when life starts to look up, I step on the gas and throw a rod out the side of my block....

But none of it matters because I got into the 12's

All in all, 2003 was AWESOME!!!!

2003 was good. Showed the Lightning and won 2 trophies. Business is good and made some money. But most important, my family has good health, we're all together and happy. Spent countless hours of quality time with my son. had a new addition to the family last week. A 3 month old yellow lab puppy, Nemo.
My thoughts and prayers go out to those who are having difficulties in the Holiday season. Please don't forget our brave troops defending America.

Fast Year

March 8th, Atco NJ, ripped off my 1st 11 second pass, 11.95 and they didn't say a word about not having a cage, hehehe. Two weeks later @ Cecil, I went 11.90, 11.84, and 11.89 and after my 3rd pass they hunted me down in the pit area and told me to park it 4 the day, I complied. Then it rained every weekend throughout the Spring and before you knew it, Summer arrived. I don't race in the Summer, too hot and humid for any improvement so I wait for the Fall. Late Oct. I order a KB blower and have JDM install it and tune with 50# injectors. JDM Day I go 11.50 in bad air, misty and drizzle. Nov 8th @ Cecil, SSOTN Meet the truck shows it's newfound muscle with an 11.28 @ 121 MPH and a 1.61 60 ft. This was the same day I saw Vinnie go 10.76 in person and it couldn't happen to a nicer guy, V's a really cool guy. Well, that's it 4 now, until this weekend @ Atco when I try out a smaller upper pulley that KB sent me, (no charge), and 30 inch slicks that might help me join a new club, John H.

Thumbs up

What a great year!

I've acheived some of my goals, achieved some things that were not imaginable, and am piecing together everything to achieve BIGGER goals next season!

Ended the season last year on a good note running 13.02 on F1s without the addition of pulleys.

April: First trip down the 1/4 this year netted some 12.8s on F1s, couple weeks following ran some 12.5s.

May: How could I not mention my biggest racing achievement! Win the Street Lightning class at WFC6! Ran best of 12.54@108 and change on F1s! Later that week returned to Memphis and ran 12.43 on ET Streets.

June: couple trips, nothing to mention, just modding!

TAKE THE SUMMER OFF!

September: Prepping for LF2003, Made a trip on Nittos to Memphis, run 12.5s. LightningFest arrives, I attempt to get Jim@JDM to reburn my chip and we have major issues. So I run my truck with 6# lower, 2.80 upper and longtubes without a chip, but with 5 gallons of 101 and 3 gallons of tolulene. Run a NEW BEST even without the chip.

October: Borrow a chip from dealerjim and run 12.13@109.72 same setup from LF2003

November: Apten blower goes on and truck makes 452rwhp/564rwtq

December: Went to Hallsville, TX for the TALON Fall Classic, run 11.70@115.28 with a soft 60' compared to my best (1.69 vs best 1.63) on my ET Streets and stock motor... Win the Top Truck trophy, the Winners bracket trophy, and the Low ET of eliminations plaque!

Probably make another trip to the track this year and try to get some 11.50s out of it! Stock motor and Apten ported Eaton!

GREAT YEAR

I also had a great year nothing too much with the Lightning even though I am in the mid 12's from a 13.3. I did a huge addition on the house to make room for our fisrt kid who came on Sept 17
So my best mod was my baby girl and thank god the Lightning dosen't run on baby formula or I would really be broke..
Hope every one had a good year and will have a great year in 04

Also lets not forget about the people we lost , They didn't get to finish the year out but hopefully are in a better place

Slick

Family is in good health. I have gained weight and lost more hair but showers are much quicker now and since it's winter I can wear big sweaters

This year I wanted a 12sec daily driver truck. I have a 2#upper already and this summer I added a 4#lower,denso's,160deg stat and got a more aggressive tune, still on the safe side(16deg timing).

Though I couldn't get to a 1\4 mile track I did get to the local 1\8th and ended the season with
a best of: 8.12 @86.18 with a 1.85 60' on stock F1's. and a 8.15,and 8.16 all with 1.8 60's. I believe that's 12sec. territory so I put my sticker on
