i like the way you installed that tweeter... was that hard to do? i was thinking of getting a QForm down by the E-Brake... but that looks sweet... might do it on the other side of the door handle though

my next question is.... an average component set needs about 50w right? i know some can handle up to 165... but 50 or so should work good right? well, instead of buying a 50x2 amp... is there a cd/mp3 player from alpine or someone that puts out 50x2????
For quality sound and running components, don't even think about using the power from a head unit. It just won't give you the quality sound. 50 watts is about the minimum I would go with, as I would suggest around 75 watts/channel. Sounddomain has an excellent deal on a Phoenix Gold Tantrum 250.2 that puts out 60 watts/channel. They have refurbished ones for $139.00 plus shipping. The PG Tantrum is an excellent amp as I am running the 300.2 in my Mustang right now.

Excellent choice on the amps and good prices to. What are you going to use for a headunit? I would suggest replacing the factory one as you will get much better sound and you won't have to convert the speaker level outputs to low level outputs to hook up your amps. Most of the better decks have a subwoofer level control that allows you to increase or decrease the output of bass from the headunit. Nice feature if you listen to a variety of types of music that have different bass output.

I'm not a big fan of the MTX subs, but for the price they would probably be pretty decent. The Thunderform box is a nice looking set up, but my choice would be to find one made out of MDF as it should give you better sound. That way you can also choose the subs of your liking and have the box built to the speakers spec. It can make a big difference. MB Quart components can also be a little on the bright side, as I suggest you give them a good listen to compared to others before making your choice. Speakers are probably the most critical component that you can put in a system and your ears should be the judge with what you go with. As with any speaker, some will like them and some will hate them. Do a lot of auditioning.
