Ill agree, black Lightnings are da chit. They look the best when clean. Since the other inferior colored Lightnings would never see this view of a black one, I posted this pic for reference!

Isn't the tranny loss percentage that Greg quoted only valid at peak torque? But since the torque curve is so flat on these things it would be pretty close in any case.

The factor I see most commonly is 20% drivetrain loss.

I needed a way to be able to take it in and out in minutes
so I had full 4x8 access of my bed.
The Factory Brackets are a pain in the Butt to take off and on
cause the bolt holes are under the bottle.

So I anchored four 1/4 20 steel inserts in my truck bed.
(dont mind the notes, they were for Gator when he made them)

(ya I know, I'm not good with a ruler)

Then I simply unplug the Heater, disconnect the Line, loosing 4 bolts, and take it ALL out in one piece
(Bottle, Brackets, Heater all stay together as one piece)
Then the lines all hide under that rubber side mat, and I can have full 4x8 use of the bed floor. Today for instance, I got to pick up 13 windows (for my Patio Party Room I'm building)
400 SQ Ft Baby (ALL STEEL TOO)
This sucker will be here in 200 years

Thanks for the pic of a black front end close up. All the black front ends I've seen have been in the far distance. j/k
