Works 140 DOHC 5.4 4V Sighting
Works 140 DOHC 5.4 4V Sighting
Did anyone see the Works/Ford concept truck at SEMA, with a Works 140 on a DOHC 5.4 4V?? I was not able to go, so I am dying to see info/pictures.
Works built a special project Navigator for Lincoln Mercury, that's AWD with new Ford GT 4V heads and a Works 140 on top. Works was with the truck at SEMA this weekend on display. I don't have much more detail on it, maybe Superfords snapped a few pics while he was there?

If superfords or anyone else has a picture please post it, Both Tim and I were at the show and did in fact see a Navi with a 140 however it was a 2V motor and was not in running condition.

It was in the Lincoln booth.
Not only did it run, but it was driven into the convention center.
It most definetly has a 4V motor in it. Not sure how this could be mistaken for a 2V motor?

Some info from Fords press release:
Works Power stuffed a supercharged 5.4-liter, 32-valve double-overhead cam V-8 engine into the belly of a Navigator and named it "Blackhawk." Arguably the ultimate urban luxury SUV, the Navigator Blackhawk pumps out 680 horsepower and 780 foot-pounds of torque and jets from zero to 60 mph in approximately four seconds flat. Configured with all-wheel drive, it tows up to 8,700 pounds.

The Blackhawk rides 2 inches lower on fat 22-inch Toyo Proxes tires and custom polished aluminum wheels. Its front fascia smiles in black chrome around a signature Lincoln grille, and special Blackhawk badging. Inside, its black leather and suede upholstered cabin is loaded with amenities: a rear parking aid, an anti-theft system, heated and cooled seats for all passengers, an overhead center console with drop-down flat screen, a power-sliding moonroof above the second-row seats and a global positioning system that's integrated into the floor-mounted center console.

im screaming right now. That is SOOOO going into my truck. 8 more months, 8 more months.
The question is what transmission is in there. I've had a dream about getting a 24v 5.4 s/c engine where traction wouldn't be a problem because it was AWD. It would be simply awesome.

Works made the rims, I think he said they are 22s, if not, they are within an inch of that size. He wanted a custom larger wheel that kept the Lincoln look and didn't look aftermarket. They even use the factory center caps.
